With the recruiting class, returning personnel, and the coaches Saban has brought on, what are your expectations for the team?

From reading some recent threads, it seems some are not too optimistic about the if Kyle Flood and Sark hires.

I would say we miss cfb but who's challenging Bama in the SEC? UGA?

Honestly with the schedule next year, who challenges this team.

Toughest games are @A&M and @Auburn.

Sark will be just fine.

The expectations are always the expectations - win every game we play

Yeah I want a shot at Clemson again and it’s not a fair expectation but I think playoffs are what’s expected which isn’t reasonable but problem is Alabama has created this expectation with all of their success so any thing short will be viewed as the downfall of this current run. I am tempering expectations until I see how this defense looks with Goulding calling plays. If it’s true he took over five games into the season then why would I expect better cohesion this year on defense. We also need to get back to smashing teams physically. I like the high scores but out inability to physically dominate teams hurt when we got to playoffs and against MSST and LSU.

This team is loaded. Offense should be just as good, with a better OL.

Defense should be better.

Last year my expectations where a SEC title and playoff berth.

This year, 15-0 and national champs.

I expect us to be 11-1 or 12-0 playing UGA in the SEC Championship Game....what happens after that, who knows.

Bama will likely go 3-0 or 2-1 this year. If I am on the playoff selection committee, I eliminate them from consideration on the basis of their pathetic non-conference schedule alone.

I dont expect another title until I see more from players on the dang OL and front 7. Im afraid the last couple staffs misevaluated one too many players and Saban's process trigger finger isn't as strong as it used to.

Is Ben Davis on a normal athletic scholly or the legacy scholly?

not sure what you are referring to as the Legacy Scholly?...but there once was a Bryant Scholarship for players who played for Bear...BUT, as soon as one of these guys played a down, they counted against the 85 limit. Wayne played at Alabama 1983-1986 so, he was there the year Bryant died (1-83} and his childrend would not qualify.
Ben has played and although not much, he would have counted in the 85 even had he been on the Bryant Scholly.

I am not aware of other "Legacy" schollies?

I don't have any expectations. Who am I to expect anything?

I do hope we beat tennessee and auburn. Winning the SEC would be nice.

We have become ridiculously spoiled.

I worry about ILB and consequently the defense. Offense will be fine. Playoffs are the expectation.

I expect Bama to play UGA again for the SEC. 11-1 or 12-0 regular season. The key will once again be Georgia and Clemson. Beating them both in the post season is tough but that’s what it’s going to take for the foreseeable future. It’s a 3 team race about every year now.

If Tua can stay healthy and our OL can gel on offense we should be lethal again on that side of the ball. Key on defense will be the development of the front 7, especially at NG and ILB. Kicking game has nowhere but up to go and Waddle is deadly as a returner. At the end of the day, I like our chances as good as any other team.

National Championship, just like every other year.

You think we got problems that are too big to overcome? We don't.

National championship or bust. The same has been true since the start of the 2012 football season. Anything less and the season is something of a disappointment.

Offensively I'm expecting some more records to be broken even if we go back to a more pro style offense. By the AU game I'm guessing the O-line from left to right will be Leatherwood, D. Brown, Owens, Womack, Wills.

Defensively I expect to see a lot of guys getting looks early in the season at different spots. A guy who I think could make our D go from good to great this year is Shyheim Carter at the Star position. Obviously we need to get back to getting after folks on third down from the edge

It's plaguing gymnastics right now. the fact that Sarah Patterson took Alabama to top 4 finishes nearly every year for a quarter century is kind of ridiculous and their current status is honestly what awaits whoever replaces Nick.

(Under Sarah, Alabama finished within the top 8 every year since 1983. Imagine if we had to replace a baseball coach who took Alabama to the College World Series, literally EVERY year. )
