I know I will earn some downvotes for even starting this beat to death topic so I will own them but what do you think? I personally believe he will. If the game is tied 14 to 14 after three or four series from Tua I think Saban will put Jalen in the game anyway. I don't know it all and have no sources but I have a gut feeling from watching the first three games and listening to Saban talk about it.

Nick Saban appears to be loyal to Jalen Hurts to a fault as evidenced by the games this year and the fact he kept a future number one draft pick on the bench last year all while Jalen struggled. I don't understand why Saban feels obliged to play Hurts with the first team early every game but I believe he does. The games have been out of reach before Hurts came in so far only because Tua put them out of reach first and Jalen would've came in even if the games had been close. Saban has said as much.

Hurts looks much better in my eyes so it won't hurt as much if it happens today and I ain't shitting on Jalen either. He deserves our support. I am just curious if I am the only one that feels that way. Now just know this is just a gut feeling and not really a prediction.

jmho...

I don't think Jalen goes in in a tie game or if we are getting beaten.

I think Jalen knows that and has accepted it in order to help the Team.

No. They even stated in the broadcast last week that Saban had told them that while there was a scripted plan to the first two games in terms of when Jalen would go in, there wasn't one against Ole Miss.

Just keep beating the fricking dead horse, though. It's not like there weren't three or four other threads you could've asked this question in.

Your obsession with whether Jalen plays and how much was at one time rather trite and somewhat amusing. Then it was just pedantic. Now it has become scary. Why don't do yourself and everyone else a favor. Sit. Watch the game. And shut the frick up. I'm pretty sure Nick Saban knows what he is doing and he certainly does not need advice from you.

I’m saying no. At this point I think Saban only brings Jalen in when he knows we are in control of a game. Which will work out for all but maybe 3 games this year IMO.

It's little scary how much you talk about Jalen. Let the kid breathe, beside one moment when expressed his frustration this summer he has been a great leader and teammate.

It’s a message board.. I can say with a fact Saban doesn’t read it. So he will never get the advice, and even though it is beating a dead horse, atleast it’s a thread that we can post in and tell Commander he is crazy..lol
I think people take this board too seriously, nothing is out of bounds and nothing is read by the team. It’s just a place that a few dumbasses like us get together and discuss football. I remember in a thread about Louisville a few were saying don’t say we will blow them out cause it’s bad for the team.lol
The team doesn’t see it and we are fans.. the crazy kind that talk about Bama 24-7.. we need to own it and realize the team nor Saban, or the 90% of our fans base will ever see, or care what we think or say. So make 30 threads about it..and we can call him crazy 30 times.. it’s all for fun. If it’s bothers someone.. it’s easy. Don’t click on the thread.. I personally like to come call him crazy and laugh with him. Kills time for me. Just as long as he never gets Jalens address..lol

I think you’ll see Jalen in the 1st Half today if Saban wants to trick the D by putting in a worse QB and making our offense 1-dimensional.

The other team will NEVER see it coming....

That's what I'm afraid of. That or he runs on the field when Jalen takes a snap

skipping all the posts after the 1st one...
I would hate to see the momentum shift or slow. Jalen looked a lot like the old Jalen in the 1st game (a bit scared and unsure - JMO) the Arkie St game he looked a bit better made some good throws; last week he made some good throws, but still looked like he wanted to pull it down and run instead of checking his reads, and was throwing behind the receivers. (Here again, just what I saw). This will be the biggest test so far and I would like to see Tua play until the game is more certain and with the aTm O & D, that may not be decided for a minute. I am one from the school of letting Tua get it really in hand and then Letting Mac have several series with the 1's and in throwing situations... but that's just me. (NEXT week will tell us Jalen's future)

LOL. It is seriously a good thing my seats are in the upper level. I am sorry but I guess I am a bit consumed with how Saban uses Hurts but not stressing about it at all. I was just curious how you guys felt about it. I am good with it regardless. Jalen has a role and I respect the hell out of him. I do think he may play in non garbage time though, I really do. Regardless we gonna kick arse with those two quarterbacks.

Hate to be that guy, especially since the games are over. But hurts running soft this year.

Not a big deal since the game is out of hand, but it's taking away the one real strength of his game
