If he stays he will redshirt and developers under Enos then start as a 5th year senior.

If he transfers then it would be to Texas or possibly Florida

I think Mississippi State would be a good spot in conference. Very clear path to the job and no incumbent.

Ehlinger turned into a pretty good QB for Texas this year. I can’t see Jalen going there.

Most logical is Maryland with Locks...knows the system...provides instant leadership and character for a team that has been through it.

I not sure that his best shot at the nfl might be to stay and continue learning under enos. we all recognize his improvement this year. however, actually getting out there and consistently reading the defenses is good too. so I guess, I just don't know. only Jalen knows whats best for him.

Depends on his goal. If you want to be a coach stay at Alabama, but if the NFL is your dream I would tranfer.

Maryland would make sense on one hand. On the other I can’t see them being very good. Does he want to spend his last year fighting to try and win four or five games?

So how would a Jalen Hurts team hilariously beat Georgia next year? Maybe Hurts just starts and throws for 300 in a game that’s never in doubt

I think he might surprise us all and go somewhere like Oregon; out of the SEC and off the radar. Good luck to the young man as long as he isn’t across from us.

While there is lots of love for Jalen after the heroic save in the SECCG And I believe we all want whats best for him. While it would really benefit him to have another year under Enos (play back the improved play) not sure that would be the best. There are many teams that could use him next year and I really am not sure where it would be best for him to go. He has applied to grad school at Bama and Texas, not sure when classes start and when he would need to start things up with a new school, but seems the sooner the better (after the playoffs).

There are some albeit very few who have made somewhat of a career not being the featured QB in college; but it is a possibility.
I am hoping that Saban works with Jalen to find him the best path (as well as a good solution for Bama).
All the best JH..RTR

He would fit in perfect with Gus' offense

AU's OL is a clusterfrick. They will have a grad transfer starting at OT from UMASS, and were depending on a grad transfer from Butler who signed with Miami to start at the other OT.

It has nothing to do with durability, it's because he had an injury that is hard to rest and it creates other injuries, why is it hard for people to understand that a knee sprain can lead to other injuries? Tua is very tough, he played most of the season with a legit injury that would hobble anyone, he also stuck it out in the SECCG even though he had an ankle sprain from the start, he didn't leave the game until he was stepped on. Explain to me how you expect an athlete with a sprained knee, sprained left ankle, and a injured right ankle to go on and compete at a high level? I'd say Tua is very durable all thing considered.

If he is going then he will need to enroll at his new gig ASAP so he participate in spring drills. You're going to know soon what his plan will be. It makes zero sense to wait and enroll during the summer at his hew school and expect to win the job during fall drills.

I am grateful he hung around for 2018. Without him, Georgia is playing next Saturday instead of Alabama.

He should transfer, for his sake I hope he does, I'm thankful he saw this season through, and I wish him all the best.

Would be pretty wild. Surreal press conference too. The first time the media gathered to see if a kid announces that he's staying to backup a fragile Heisman-caliber starter.

I have said all along that if his goal is to get to the NFL, then it is actually less likely that he transfers. He would need to go to a team that...

1. runs a pro style passing offense
2. needs a QB
3. has a coach that can actually continue his development
4. is willing to turn the offense over to a guy who is basically a project, for one year.

That eliminates almost everyone. Going to play somewhere as a dual threat QB doesn't help him get to the NFL.
