NFL is better when the Cowboys are contenders
MLB is better with the Yankees/Dodgers are contenders
CFB is better when Bama and ND are contenders
By better, I mean for TV. And for that reason, everything will be done to get us in.

ND like other teams who play softer schedules will get a reality in game they can’t practice for. They will need to adjust in game to that new speed and style. We won’t. That transition can be minor or major. I think ND is probably on the level of an LSU or AM.

No, I don’t believe so at this point.

I don't expect the CFP will deviate much from last week and the two polls today without a reason to do so. If they were going to drop Bama farther last week would have been the perfect time to do it.

Yep. They put Bama exactly where they wanted so they could move them up if a tiny bit of chaos happened.

Hopefully the AP ranking will have some impact.

I think the poll that surprised me was the coaches. Thought for sure the snub was coming.

PSU is a good game for us. They are not a great offensive team.
I'd like to see a Bama/psu game...we use to have great games against each other.

I fully expect them to move up another spot or two after next week if a few key upsets happen. I think the loser of the red acc game is out.

Won’t know until Tuesday. If we are ahead of Miami we will 100% be in if SMU beats Clemson. If SMU loses then I give us a 20% chance. SMU does have zero ranked wins but they only had 1 regular season loss

. I also think they remember the backlash from last year and don’t want a repeat of that.

Yes. How many tv sets does Bama draw vs how many Boise State, SMU, Indiana, BYU, South Carolina draw? The new playoff contract comes after the 2025 season. What will all these conversations between SEC’s Sankey and B10’s Petiti and their AD’s have to say about automatic qualifiers? Or this committee’s refusal to use strength of schedule as a variable so that some team like BYU has a better chance of”eye test” (whatever that means) than an SEC team who actually plays good teams?

I think another thing to remember in all of this is that the B1G and SEC hold all the power now. The other conferences have been basically relegated to G5 status. With that in mind, if the B1G gets 4 teams in, which they certainly will, then the SEC is going to cause absolute fire to rain down on the CFP committee if they don't get 4 as well. That's how it'll be in this version of the postseason going forward.
Having said that, the B1G will get 3 of their biggest brands in this year: OSU, PSU, and Oregon. I'm sure they would've liked Michigan to be better, along with USC, but they're probably fairly happy with the group they have, except for Indiana.
The SEC has a chance to put their 4 biggest brands in: Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama. You can argue whether LSU or Tennessee are bigger, and maybe Florida, but it's some combination of those. The SEC is not going to allow the CFP to mess this up for them, so I think it's Bama for that last spot based on politics alone.

History shows so far that when Deboer has time to prepare, he wrecks teams...so yes I think Bama routs game 1 opponent

This has been biggest disappointment to me this season. Bama fans proved they are soft. They cant handle a loss without melting down but expect 19 year olds to sail through adversity with no issues. Probably a good number of them are young and never saw the bad years, but some of the ones acting like spoiled children are plenty old enough.

I am sure a lot of people on the playoff committee would love to keep Bama out. Unfortunately, the lost to Vandy and the blowout by the Okies gives them the reason to do it. I hope I am wrong. I would love to see Bama/PSU or Bama/ND.

Should be in regardless of what freakin smu does...tired of our OWN fans talking about Bama not "deserving" it...total BS when half the teams considered "locks" don't deserve it because of their shitty schedules.
Especially the Bama cucks on r/cfb fishing for upvotes. If an opposing fan cries over the prospect of Bama making the playoffs, they can use my cum rag to wipe their tears with.
