f we end up with a loss, timing matters; if we lose a close one to Auburn and then beat Georgia big, we may get in. But if we lose to Georgia, we'll most likely be a spot or two out of the picture and would most likely need two of the other top four teams to lose another game to be considered.

Nope. Your instincts are wrong in this one. We are in as a 1 loss SEC Champ. That’s guaranteed.

We are out if we lose to Ga, barring a series of amazing upsets.

Some in the media have been saying if we get to 12-0 the SEC Championship becomes nothing more than playing for seeding. We win we are #1 we lose we are at worst #4.
Have to see where the other chips fall. For example if Notre Dame loses one game and if Oklahoma a beats West Virginia in the regular season then West Virginia beats Oklahoma in the Big12 championship game we literally can’t fall below #4 even with a loss in the SEC Championship.

Yeah only way Bama get in with loss to Georgia is if Clemson and ND drop a game.

If we lose a close game to UGA we likely need UM or ND to drop another game. If one of those two lose a game, I think we’d be in even with a loss in ATL. OU, OSU and Wazzou simply don’t pass the eye test and would not get in over a 12-1 Bama. That said, screw the scenarios. Let’s blast AU and UGA and be done with it.

Did our performance Sunday help us secure CFP spot even if we lose to Ugay?

I may be in the minority but I think we would get in over Georgia if they beat us. Every year the committee has chosen the 4 best teams based on the entire body of work. We've been more consistent, and we are the better team regardless of what happens on December 1st.

Honestly, that would be ridiculous. If we are both 12-1 and they beat us head to head in a championship game 24 hours earlier it would be absurd for us to go over them, especially considering their overall strength of record would be better than ours.

I'd feel dirty about it.

While the season is winding down, there is still a lot of ball to be played.

ND has two games they could easily lose. Michigan could lose to tOSU and would have a rematch with a team they trailed 17-0. Everyone has big games remaining and teams start to freeze up when that 4 seed is on the line.
