Assuming you meant Saturday and I don't think that game helped in any meaningful way.

I think it is becoming clear that if Michigan, ND, and Clemson win out, then Alabama is not getting in with a loss to Georgia. If one of those three teams were to lose then perhaps the door is opened slightly because other potential teams would have some bigger warts:

Ohio State - blown out by Purdue
Oklahoma - defense looks really bad, loss to an okay TX team, Big12 considered weak
WVU - pretty bad loss to Iowa State, Big12 considered weak
Washington State - Pac12 is considered REALLY weak

Alabama could have a chance to get in over those teams but I still think odds are Alabama would be out and they would use the really bad out of conference schedule to justify it.

The way I see it, the committee want to put only conference champions in if possible

At 12-1 I think we get passed up by:
Undefeated Clemson
Undefeated Notre Dame
One loss Georgia
One loss Big12 Champ
One loss Michigan
12-1 Clemson (although they aren’t gonna lose before the playoffs)

The maybes are mostly 12-1 Ohio State and Washington State. However both those teams will be playing very VERY meh opponents championship saturday

If Oklahoma is the 1 loss Big XII champ, they ain’t gettin in. A loss to Texas and close calls to Army, Texas Tech and Okie Lite. Trash.

In a word, no.

If we end up with a loss, timing matters; if we lose a close one to Auburn and then beat Georgia big, we may get in. But if we lose to Georgia, we'll most likely be a spot or two out of the picture and would most likely need two of the other top four teams to lose another game to be considered.

Either way, any loss and we'll need significant help to get in simply based on how much press our schedule has had this year for being so weak.

You think Oklahoma gets left out after winning in Morgantown and then beating West Virginia again a week later? Personally I think we’d drop 60 on OU and are the better team but they jump us in that scenario. We almost got jumped by a team with 2 separate 15+ point losses last year

Hopefully West Virginia will win the first matchup with OU and OU wins the Big 12 Title game. Both would be eliminated.

Washington St loses to Washington.

Michigan beats Ohio St, then loses to Northwestern.

Just some things I'm hopeing for.

The ONLY way Bama gets in with 1 loss is if they get beat by auburn and then beat Georgia in the sec championship game

i'm nervous. I have a really bad feeling about the GA game. Their running backs are the best we have seen and Fromm is serviceable. This will be a close game.

Yea, I mean, that is generally how games against Top 5 teams go. Every one isn't going to be a blow out (probably).

Secure? No. But helps if we lose a close one to UGA. No way we lose to AU. If we do, the whole thing's a washout and we are done. Georgia clips us by less than a touchdown we get in.

On paper, UGA is our biggest test remaining, followed by Clemson. Those two may be able to beat us. As for ND/Mich/Okla, if we are fortunate to make it to the playoffs and remain healthy throughout, those three aren't a huge threat.

People seem to forget we got in by the skin of our teeth last year.

And Ohio State got drubbed by Iowa by like 30 points.

Non-conference champions getting in is a tall order and not a risk to take.

Win every damn game.

Yea, things fell exactly right for us last year and it was still basically a coin flip as to whether we got in.

Ohio State both had 2 losses AND one of them was utterly embarassing to a medicore team AND they looked pretty bleh their last 2 games. If any of those 3 things had been different we would not have gotten in.

We won't get in if everything plays out to form and we go 12-1 and lose to Georgia. We just won't. We aren't jumping Georgia and we wouldn't jump 13-0 Clemson, 12-1 Michigan or 12-0 Notre Dame.

Absolutely not. There is no way Alabama gets in to the playoff after losing to Georgia. The committee doesn't want rematches, especially one that just happened.

The only way Alabama gets in is if Georgia implodes and loses the next two and THEN beats Bama because of some weird circumstance like Tua and Jalen both being out, or the bus gets in a crash on the way to the stadium. Then, only then, would Bama get in, and it would be in the place of Georgia.
