Maybe both? I think he's still dealing with turf toe.

Hopefully benched because he needed to be!

Yeah, I imagine the turf toe flared up. He hasn't looked the same since he sustained that injury. It's definitely one of those nagging ones as well.

Saban said that he had turf toe the week of LSU. No way it's healed up by now. Hopefully he didn't re-sprain it.

Burks was working him hard, Jobe whiffed his jam way too many times.

Burks is a couple more cheezeburgers away from a hell of a TE in the NFL.

He can eat all the cheeseburgers he wants if he can run as fast as he did in the open field and be quick enough to beat jams at the LOS.

He's got a lot of Alshon Jeffery in his game.

Jeffery looked like a sack of potatoes in a jersey, but was strong and could julienne you with some sub 4.5 speed if you weren't careful.

Al.com

-- Saban said freshman cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry did a “pretty good job” when he entered the game in place of Josh Jobe. “We have a lot of confidence in him playing, and I thought he did a pretty good job,” he said.

He didn't mention an injury to #28 as the reason #1 took his spot

Jobe is dealing with 3rd degree burns he suffered at the hands of Treylon Burkes.

Jobe gives me flash backs to Savion Smith. Someone needs to tell him that it does him no good to be in position if he never turns his head so he can actually play the ball. It’s like clockwork every time. Either a penalty or a long reception. He needs to be on the bench.

He doesn’t look when he’s in phase though. Or doesn’t recognize that he’s in phase when he is

He’s doesn’t look ever. In phase, out of phase, never phase. I’ve seen enough. Koolaid is the future at that spot, so let’s break him in. Can’t be worse.

I can confirm this. I've noticed same thing. He never looks back when in phase. It's almost as if he doesn't trust himself to make right decision. He's likely half of the problem in secondary. Kool Aid will take risks and I think defense in secondary will be better.

Moore- Not sure what's going on with him, but maybe he's not 100 percent.

Moore definitely having the infamous sophomore slump. He’s not terrible, just not making plays either like he did last year. 5 and 9 seem to be playing pretty well, after that it’s been meh at best. Koolaid maybe gives us a chance to improve. Not so sure I wouldn’t give Branch some of 13’s snaps too to see if that would help things. The thing is, this is a veteran group in the secondary. Zero excuses for why they’ve sucked so bad this year. Zero.
