I’m not asking for Muschamp-style coaching. What we have now is Shula deer in headlights level of energy from the head coach.

Insanely good head coaching record, consistently good offenses and QB play, elevated every place he went to
I see the results but what is it about him that led to those results and why isn’t it working here?

3 of those 4 L’s were to running QBs. Feel like Saban’s defenses would’ve never gotten punked by mids like Arnold, Pavia and Castellanos?

DeBoer will likely end up as the first Alabama coach to fail to have a 10 win season since Ears Whiteworth.

I know it’s cliche but it wasn’t the SEC and it wasn’t Bama. Higher stakes here. No easy wins.
Still would have expected more from him.

I just don't think this program thrives with his kind of personality in charge. Who knows why, but our successful coaches have been no nonsense hard asses and our unsuccessful coaches generally have been less...bold.

Then are we screwed because players can now tell no nonsense hard asses “f**k you” and transfer pretty much at will?

Hire someone to seduce him then get him out on a moral clause.

Maybe. I don't know. I just don't think a shrinking violet is capable of winning here. Maybe it looks different than it did in the past, but we need a big, serious personality in charge.

He is stealing money from Alabama. He is a fraud!

We need someone who acts like he cares. He doesn’t need to throw clipboards or grab players by the face mask. He needs to act like he cares, like he is invested in what’s happening.

Look at the personalities of those who have won championships here and look at the ones who didn’t. Which category does DeBoer fall into?

Gotta check with Mossad and see if we can borrow one of their honey trap agents.

He had an NFL caliber QB to run the offense and 2 or 3 NFL receivers to throw to.

Here’s how bad it’s gotten: Alabama was held to 87 yards rushing today. That’s the lowest total in an opening game since 1975 when Missouri beat our arse 20-7 in Birmingham. Coach Bryant was the coach, Gerald Ford was the President and disco was at its peak. In case you were wondering, Alabama went 11-1 that season so they righted the ship. I wish we could hope for that.
FSU had over 200 yards rushing today. They didn’t have 200 yards rushing in a game all season last year, not even against Charleston Southern.
So yes, we got manhandled on the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.
