Alabama is new money as well. Its what Im trying to say in a certain way out of many. Alabama is a household name.. Bama still holds the only current Dynasty in college football. Saban is a weekly advertisement for the namesake of Bama every week on the most popular sports show on Saturdays. Bama leads or is near the top of all college sports programs in merchandise licensing revenue and sales for the last almost 20 years. There's A LOT of money flowing through the coffers at Bama from just all of that. No other college has had that kind of exposure and success. And yes Bama has a ton of rich boosters just like the other big boys.. In fact Bama is one of the big boys. This is exactly why I say Bama is not gonna be allowed to just wither on the vine and become another Arkansas. They will spend whatever it takes to get the right coaching if the team continues on its current trend

Players still win championships though and we need at a bare minimum about 60-70 really good ones and they are really expensive. Saban was 3 deep with studs in his dynasty. We are paper thin with skill after the 1's now and that's a growing trend everywhere except for the very top spenders.

I dont believe that for a second. Not every rich booster is gonna put out millions or billions. Why do you think that Bama dosent have the same kind of rich boosters. And the most important factor in money here is Bama leads all college sports programs in merchandise licensing revenue and sales for almost 20 years. Bama is flooded with money because of the dynasty of 7 national championships and the still holds that dynasty title. No other team comes close. There are probably billions just from that even without the boosters.

Thats why they will make a coaching change... specifically to draw the best.. Dont be fooled.. Bama is flooded.. loaded with money. Bama already has being a household name on their resume and is very friendly with the NFL

According to the website Extra Points, citing available public data reported by the universities, we ranked 19th in Fiscal Year 2025 among Division I sports programs in royalties, licensing, advertising and sponsorship with about $17 million; Texas was No. 1 with three times that, $51 million.

I dont know if I wouod believe the stats from that site.. Think of some of the universities that would have to be ahead of Bama in merchandising..licensing etc# Thats not a thing to put much faith in.. I know I wouldn't bet a $100 on that.. From every site with words on this sort of thing.. Yeah TX is usually no 1 But Bama is always in the top 3 to 5

Alabama doesn’t have rich boosters putting money into NIL. Some teams have billionaires pouring money into
Their favorite programs, Alabama doesn’t have that.

DeBoer is the best possible HC we could have ever have found

If you honestly believe that, you’re saying the university of Alabama has lost their clout! There’s several coaches (x’s and o’s) that are better than him. He may be a good person but his coaching leaves much to desire! I definitely don’t see anyone kicking down doors to come and coach with him!

Could be several contributing factors for that. NIL is not the only reason why athletes go to a certain college. All of them are looking to get into the NFL as well. Playing time.. being seen.. championships that lead to more exposure (NFL) The further Bama falls down the list from not changing the leadership staff.. the less exposure these NIL athletes will get so they will go with their NIL value to different schools that are contenders. I honestly believe with Saban leaving and the way Deboer has been dragging our team down.. there hasn't been near as many high profile NIL or 5* players accepting Bamas offers. Just look at the transfers Bama has had to deal with.. Bama needs to stay on top of this rise to mediocrity. It is hurting them in all phases. We did it with Shula and we can do it with Deboer. When and if Bama turns things around Im betting that there will be a lot more high value NIL 5 stars hitting them up. Im thinking they will have the money to equal anyone.

Then DeBoer needs to do some soul searching and make some changes.

Well, play calling is poor.

But the most important thing is top quality players, especially in the trenches.
