I’d agree.

I think giving Lawson and Key another week to heal is good. They should be much better by Saturday.

If we actually play our game and don’t turn it over a bunch we will be in the game. If we fart around I don’t think UGA is a team we can come back on by a huge margin maybe 10?

UGA is a pretty simple offense, maybe we get a wrinkle but they will run, and pass from run. Can we stop the run enough. I trust our secondary.

Nah. I think Bama must win and you need one of those two to lose. Not both. It's possible Bama gets in with a win alone, but I think the chances are much lower.

UGA probably SHOULD win but the thing is, the game is played on a field and not on paper. My fear is that our guys will get or have gotten too comfortable being behind and can just automatically come from behind.

I felt like last Saturday vs the Aubs that some of our guys didn't take Auburn seriously and felt like a half hearted effort would be good enough. I don't think they'll make that mistake with UGA.

My concern is we get stuck with the same refs as we got on Saturday and they proceed to make horrible call after horrible call. To me, that could make the difference.

If Milroe goes into his phone booth and exits as Superman, which, he sometimes does, we will win. If not, we will lose.

More than anything, this is essentially it. Alabama has a very adequate tailback run game. It is important the tailbacks stay at "effective run" clip around 4 ypc but I don't expect them to break the game open. They haven't all season, so why would you expect something different against their best opposition?

Milroe hitting deep throws, extending pass plays with his legs, and making explosive runs on designed and improvised plays have been how this team got to 11-1. That is basically how they're going to win this game.

Granted, I suspect a tailback is going to need to hit a few big runs to keep the UGA defense honest. I just don't suspect that Roydell Williams or Jam Miller going to carry this team on an SECCG MVP performance.

My main concern is covering the middle of the field, which has always been an area of exposure in a Saban D. Beck is very accurate on crossing routes, slants, and seam routes.

t the end of presentation, the both agree that Bama has a higher ceiling and that if both played tp 100% potential, Bama would win.

They basically think Bama will make enough mistakes and play erratically enough that they will lose.

Gotta be honest, that's a pretty fair evaluation. Elements are there that we could be a juggernaut, we just consistently find ways not to be one.

Basically, Bama had 2 Interceptions in the 2022 tile game after two WR went down IN GAME, which is much harder to overcome then WR being down before a game, the QB and WRs have a chance to gel

In the two previous games Bennet had 5 Interceptions. Turnovers will tell the story. We throttled Bennet in the title game for 3 quarters, our offence not moving the ball got the defense tired somewhat, and Benet made a 3rd an 19 TD throw.

All this UGA is so great when they have beaten us one time in 15 years is beyond me. And only then, IMHO, because the Two WR went down.

According to their expert, Alabama has no chance against UGA.

I just watched their preview (they are outstanding btw) and they didn’t say anything like that.

They sounded skeptical after the Iron Bowl exposed our defensive injuries in the front 7 that we could beat UGA, but they both picked a one score game.

If Key and Lawson don’t get significantly healthier neither should play Saturday because they were not even close to playing at a championship level last weekend.

They are both outstanding and Lawson might be our best defender, but neither can handle Bowers at 60% and we will lose badly if we put them out there at that level again.

Simple yes, but their OL is incredible at pass pro. No need to get complicated when you can grind teams to dust and hit high percentage pass plays when they adjust to take away the run.

I watched the Ole Miss game and I’m not sure anyone got a hand on Beck all night.

We have to win the first down battle against their run game then see how they handle Turner/Braswell off the corner behind the sticks.

If they start running for 4-6 YPC on early downs the rest won’t matter.

I heard a stat in one of the Georgia games that they throw something like 70% on first down.

While predictable, one thing that concerns me is that Mike Bobo (of all people) seems to have success against Nick Saban defenses.

That’s my point they don’t really do the Auburn thing to hide weaknesses what you see is what you get. However, our defense compared to Ole Miss is Grand Canyon level difference.
