Same here. Zero reason to not trust Saban and expect to be contenders again next year. Best of the luck to the guys headed out, and bring on the new ones.

Gonna have to disagree with you on this one. The speed at which some of the hires have popped up clearly shows to me that Sark was talking with these guys prior to the National Championship game. In other words while he was still gainfully employed by the University of Alabama. I have a big problem with him attempting to poach our coaching staff while still a member of our coaching staff.

Gotta point. I told myself that I would just sit back and enjoy this one a little longer. Just a lot of news in one morning. As I have said before, I trust Saban to hire the best coaches to put us in the best position to win.

I'm sure he isn't but that doesn't mean that Sark is doing anything wrong.

It's not illegal but IMO, it is wrong. Especially with the debt Sark owes Saban. Yes, Saban hired him because he is a good college OC, but still...

With early signing days, a Jan. 11th title game and then normal signing day in Feb, that's really not possible.

You’re not a coach. It is very possible.

Whom?

Of course everybody wants Leonhard from UW, Freeman from ND. Scalley at Utah is good also . Durkin at OM, Reeves at UAB, Ash is available and has Texas ties and there are a slew of NFL assistants ready to e DC. Tyrone McKenzie for Titans is a hot name . My point is I don’t know who is “ available” but everybody has a price . Also , whomever Saban goes with would work within his system so I am not worried about that position . Strong who is already here is an option as well

Heck Scott and Derrick Ainsley, Schumann ... the list can go on and on

Muschamp... plenty of choices and names we never heard of . I had never heard of Golding till he came here. Saban will figure it out

Hasn't Sark only taken Flood (a coach who he brought with him) and then Banks?

Yes so far Flood and Banks with Golding being rumored.

And since everyone hates Golding, wouldn't taking him basically even out for Banks?

Ya if he takes Golding, it is clearly because Saban didn't feel like trying to keep him. Sort of a mutually agreed upon "new blood" for everyone.

Either that or Golding thinks his D's woulda been dominating if Saban would just leave him alone.

Feels like those days in the recruiting thread, “We are losing everybody and getting no one!” Just have to trust the process. If the coaches/players want to leave, it is probably the best for everyone.

Are the only two you listed that are better than Golding IMO. I just don’t understand how you can think he’s only “decent” and could easily be replaced with someone “better” yet the only two names are guys we aren’t getting.

Well you have your opinion and I have mine. I have taken up for Golding on this board several times and am not in the fire Golding crowd . However , I think Saban can find someone similar or better

With the arse chewings he took this year on the sidelines I can see him maybe wanting to leave

And wasn't Cochran the highest paid ST coach last year at UGA....how did that work out for them????

And we all freaked out some with him leaving and then we hit the lotto with his replacementS!!!!!

I'll trust in Saban....(even though I freak out behind the key board)

Leonhard is a Wisconsin man but he may be frustrated in that it will be a long time before he can be UW HC and that it sucks for the defense to be let down by offense. He would be my #1 target.

Yea, sorry, a recruiter/ST coach ain't worth allocating that level of resources on our staff when he's the co-recruiter of a state - even if that state is Texas.

We can go get somebody else to take that role.

I actually feel better knowing it took an AHC title and a million dollars a year to leave Bama.
