I think Golding is doing a decent job here but I know there are better options out there if he leaves

If Pete bolts, I'm sure it's because Saban didn't break his neck to keep him here.

Personally I hope Pete stays unless Saban already has an elite DC waiting in the wings, but knowing Saban he probably does.

Out in the field today. Having to cruise the web on my lunch break.

By the time I log back in this afternoon we will have lost Saban, Camar Wheaton, our entire defensive line and Will Reichard to Texas.

None of this is surprising, but it does get old.

Saban is hard to work for. This is common knowledge. When guys have a chance to get paid handsomely and move to an environment more in line with their personalities, they are going to do it. Especially when you're talking about guys that aren't in line to be a coordinator here, yet have aspirations of climbing the ladder.

One Eagles writer is saying not so fast on Stoutland.

quote:

So the latest on Jeff Stoutland: My understanding is, of course he's up in the air, with the Eagles having no head coach. And Alabama is interested in bringing him back. But Stoutland is under contract and is not intent on leaving. Hasn't decided to leave.

So to recap we're losing all our best coaches, and golding, and the one piece of goods news is now maybe not happening? Awesome.

Seriously though, can we just enjoy the championship for a little bit before coach turnover. Seems to happen every year. Saban has to get tired of it after awhile.

Ya but we still have the GOAT coach, a fully stocked pool for reloading and will be competing for the SEC Championship and a playoff spot late next season.

I'm trying to melt at all this stuff but I just got nothing in the tank for that. Way too happy about the season, the insane future roster and now all these guys coming back on defense for next season.

We'll hire good coaches.

With early signing days, a Jan. 11th title game and then normal signing day in Feb, that's really not possible.
