I bet we’re about to hear about how Auburn simply had no room for him so he was asked to look elsewhere.

WR Cedrick Simmons is flipping from Auburn to Alabama.
Wonder if that means we're out on Sales.

Probably means we’re out on Sales

We were never going to be the highest bidder for Sales.

If we’re not spending big money on seemingly anything other than quarterback this year then it’ll be what it’ll be. And what it be is missing out on a lot of guys who have their name attached to ours.

I don’t think a 2028 5’8” 3 star committing to us says anything about Sales.
If we’re out for Sales we were already out for Sales. Simmons isn’t some big get that makes up for Sales. I’d trade 10 Simmons for one Sales. But we’re probably not getting Sales either way.

Alabama has a five star WR commit in Osani Gales. I assure you he’s not committed without some significant financial package.

That's a little harsh. Neither of these kids have ever played a down of college football. Will Sales be a star? Probably but there are no guarantees.
Simmons isn't the most physically imposing but he's quick, has good hands and could be extremely effective as a slot receiver. I know he plays at a smaller classification but 2000+ yards receiving in one season is still impressive.

He’s good. I’m not mad at the commitment at all. Sales is just on a different level hence the bidding war.
But like…we can’t have spent the last 17 years touting our star ratings and now flex that we’re flipping 3 stars from shite arse Auburn

That’s a good point. We’re very selectively spending this cycle. More than just the QB like I said earlier.

I can get behind it being one recruiting cycle and that being the new norm. If we aren’t loading up again next cycle we are in trouble. But thankfully they’re already off to a great start for 2028.

How is momentum building in July?

Caldwell? He committed to Maryland weeks ago.

Really dang I been out the loop. All the analyst were saying he was going to Bama. I wonder if we told Simmons no at first.
