I was there too and while I think Russell is better, Mack was hobbling around with a bum ankle. It seemed pretty obvious to me he wasn't 100 per cent out there that day.

People always say this shite in a year with a QB competition. Remember Blake Sims looking like white dog shite at A-Day? And then has an all-SEC season in 2014.

Sims was one of my favorites when he left because that season he had came out of nowhere.
However, man had a veteran WR corps with a Biletnikoff winner, three NFL tailbacks (one was our most of season though), and two first round OL.
Whoever is our QB isn’t going to be that blessed.

Our WR core will be really good. I think the Juco transfer will shock a few people.

Sims was great for what he could do but he also had a ceiling. Unfortunately his backup had a ceiling too and we got a bit more serious about elite qb recruiting after that thankfully.
