His team made the playoffs so they couldn't have been too bad, but they seem to be a very run oriented offense. The QB is not a gifted passer and I can't imagine he's a D1 recruit. He generates pretty easy separation off the line, is quick in and out of his breaks, and catches with his hands from what I can tell. The biggest negative that stands out to me is that he doesn't have much top end speed, which isn't helped by the fact that he has to wait on the ball or break off his route to come back to it a lot.

Fundamentally sound. Plenty of receivers made pro careers after clean breaks that create separation and good hands. Top end speed only matters in the open field but these days you’ve got at least one or two receivers who primarily operate between the numbers and only get YAC if it is zero coverage and their man misses a tackle anyway.

Please tell me they aren't going to allow all these fricking 24 year old Serbian basketball players to be grandfathered into the old system and instead declare them immediately ineligible due to age.

Looks like Simmons committed to the Barn. Let’s hope and pray Gayles commits to Bama. That would royally suck if Bama whiffs on him.
