I didn’t even include Jalen Hurts in this list. I suppose he goes to OU’s ledger on the draft card but he’s all Bama.

He should count for both.

He played most of his career here and had obviously made large strides his last year here while on the bench before transferring, but clearly OU helped his development as well and he was very successful there as well.

I honestly think Jalen would’ve looked just as good here as he did at OU. He looked worlds better passing his junior year…but Tua was the guy.

In that Clemson game I actually wanted us to play Jalen because he looked great in the SEC championship and I think we’d have had a better chance. His sophomore year I just think the offense didn’t fit him and he didn’t make a leap but his junior year he looked great.

We outgained Clemson, quarterback wasn't the issue.

The issue was Locksley couldn't playcall for shite, especially in the redzone. Venables had his entire playbook and playcalling tendency mapped to a T.

Yes we outgained them but we also turned the ball over early and they got so far ahead that we were screwed. I think Jalen’s mobility and a bit more ball control could’ve helped. Hindsight is always 20/20 but I just thought Jalen had the momentum and Tua was still banged up.

Sure. Got any hot news right now?

I’m pretty sure we discuss every single bit of relevant news in here but we are in a pretty dead period right now so in lieu of the board just being dead occasionally certain topics go mildly OT. It’s not like we’re in here sharing cookie recipes. We’re talking Alabama football on a conversation that sprung from the QB recruiting tear we’ve been on.

Recruiting is dead as a whole.

We used to get a thousand pages in the recruiting megathread each cycle. Now we're lucky to get two hundred.

Another victim of NIL.

It’s all condensed to June and July now too.

Alabama cancels its home-and-home series with Oklahoma State for the 2028-29 football seasons.

But the Crimson Tide will keep its series w/ Ohio State for 2027-28.
