RB depth didn’t help. Although, even if we had Derrick Henry, Trent Richardson, and Mark Ingram BoB would still throw the ball 52 times.

Would the 2013 team beat the 2021 and 2022 squads?

It's almost Christmas (it's already Christmas Eve where I am: NL=Netherlands) so I just want to take this opportunity to thank Saint, and Surge, for all their work on the recruiting board, posting links, nuggets and keeping us up to date.
After some pretty diffcult times this Bama season, the last couple of weeks have been an absolute blast with this Early Signing Day feast.
Enjoy Christmas everyone!

The 2013 team gets a bad rep based on those final two games, but that was a solid team.
Offense was really good, defense was a bit of a drop off from 11-12, but it was still really good.
That team destroyed every team between A&M and Auburn. They were up 42-14 on A&M before Johnny Football went crazy.
Auburn's offense was great in 2013 and Bama's defense held them to 14 points from early in the 1st quarter until the last few seconds of the game. So many what ifs in that game. Had Bama made one of those missed field goals, had Bama converted that 4th and short, had Cyrus Jones stuck with his man and not went to run support. Alabama should have won that game by double digits.
The Sugar Bowl was a 5 turnover disaster.
Had the Iron Bowl been in Tuscaloosa in 2013, Alabama likely wins the national championship that year.

Offense was inconsistent and had some issues in the red zone. They had numerous games against unranked teams in which they didn’t look too hot.

This transfer portal is crazy. Now, we might get another receiver developed by Locksley who is the best developer of receiver talent we've ever had. It's just different.

Does Taulia want to come back? Wide open for him now lol

So Locksley isn't the best WR coach we've ever had? If not, who is? Bobby Williams? It's Locks.

That linebacking corp ran a solid 4.7-4.8 on average. Very happy we don’t build our defense like that in the modern era.

Some here hate Locksley for some reason.
It's odd because it took a season and a half for people to realize Bill O'Brien is the worst thing to happen to our program
Locks wasn't perfect but he was good.

Why do things take such a super weird turn here all the time? Folks be plugging their various obsessions around here
Production wise it is Gattis in 2018 but you have the Jalen/Tua stuff blah, blah, blah. Hopefully Dippre will help the TE core and we can get back in on McClain if some things break our way.

Never was a fan of Gattis and he kind of proved me right at Michigan.
I just feel Locks gets a bad rap when he was actually decent. We had simple reads but we couldn't do that much advanced stuff because our QB.
