How was hiring a guy who has only had success because he cheats in recruiting supposed to work when you can’t really cheat in recruiting anymore?

This the ONLY reason they hired him and I won't be convinced otherwise.

Welp, I guess DeBoer and his staff were able to build those in-state relationships quite quickly

Any comps on Morgan as far as his game?

DeBoer and the staff (particularly Courtney Morgan; he deserves a ton of credit) have done a fantastic job of not only building relationships with in-state prospects and their families, but across the hotbed of the SEC. We have taken (or been a finalist for) top notch, highly sought after prospects from all over. Our staff seems extremely genuine and of high character across the board, and that clearly resonates with these recruits and their parents. Remember - we had zero scholarship players jump ship after the Spring. That is pretty incredible in this era and a testament to how these guys view CKD, “a guy with experience exclusively in the Pacific Northwest who Freeze would run circles around in recruiting” … or whatever bullshite the boogs were trying to sell us.

Great get by Alabama.

Not a hard prediction, even in May.

Jackson Arnold transferring there because he beat us at Oklahoma last year is another sign of boog obsession with beating Bama.

I get Nico Collins vibes, he's more athletic than his larger size would indicate.

Both being instate is a coincidence, I forgot Bama missed on him out of HS.

We recruited Collins, but we were loaded at WR.

I didn’t follow him too closely at Michigan, but he was a big guy with good but not blazing speed right?

Frankly most of those Michigan offenses under Harbaugh didn’t really highlight WRs and I don’t track the NFL very closely so I’m not sure I have a good read on his game.

Of course, that WR class was ridiculous.

I think misevaluation is still a miss, guy is arguably a top 10 receiver now. I wouldn't change a thing though, everything turned out fine

Nico has really good build up speed, had almost 20 YPC his last year in college. His knock is/was quickness, like he's not gonna be a guy who can dust people off breaks on sharp routes, but is a lot better than you'd think in the short game with his acceleration. Health is his biggest issue nowadays.

Mike Evans even compared him recently to himself and Julio, if you want to take his word for it...

So I guess having a losing record on the Plains isn't seen as a disappointment.

I've heard of delusional fans, but this one take the cake. They're trying to hide a huge elephant behind a tv, thinking nobody would notice the obvious. It's simple as that. Auburn misplayed this big time and now behind on recruiting big time. There is no way for them to come out of this and think they will have top ten class by December. They better get to work fast because if they lose one more commits to elsewhere, then it shows a lot about them.

So how game ready is Morgan IYO?

Williams had cheat code short acceleration and explosion so he made up for some slack in his routes at times IMO, does Morgan have factors that would get him on the field early or is he going to need time to make a difference against SEC defenses and in a WR room that isn’t exactly empty.

I know 247 loves him, but I don't think he's at the level of Ryan Williams or Cam Coleman. I may certainly eat those words after his senior year

It even took Coleman a bit to really catch on by just being out on the field. I think its harder to bully people with size when the athleticism is similar than it is with great routes or short area quickness.

I'm really interested to see how they use Horton this year, he is the "big" WR that Morgan could play eventually.

“All those teams had disappointing years last season”… ah yes, Auburn was a total success. Of course we are more desperate than a team who last won the conference when their freshmen were 3.
