Odom would be an idiot to leave, but he’s a young fella and can probably fetch a pretty penny on the transfer market

Meadows could probably replace his lost production relatively easily

wish we kept Odom but losing him isn't a catastrophe

Well when he’s streaking down the field wide open with another QB who can actually see him next year for a different team we will miss him.

At best that has to be an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty each time I would think.

Another potential portal target:

Arkansas IOL Patrick Kutas

Two year starter at Arkansas who has two years of eligibility left.

Odom is a HUGE loss.

That's something I read on here frequently, that WRs are running around uncovered every game. I've watched every game, and I just haven't seen it. Maybe it's clear watching the games in person, but the announcers don't comment on that being the case (maybe they're more focused on the QB being pressured). I don't doubt that Milroe isn't throwing people open when he should be able to.

FIFY

Odom has the potential to be great, but he didn’t realize it here for whatever reason. People said the same thing about Bond, Downs, and Brooks last year. He may be great. He may be good. He may be okay. What matters is he doesn’t want to be here. If he ain’t wearing Crimson…you know the rest.

There have been multiple analyst that have broken it down that cover Alabama. TN game and The Oklahoma game both.

Announcers rarely comment on missed reads in-game. If you want a real measure of whats going on listen to what Tyler Watts, A.J. McCarron and even what Greg McElroy have been saying about him this past year. They have been in near agony discussing his lack of development and the plays that he missed.

Go watch one of the QB analysts on Youtube of the Tennessee game in particular. There were at least 6 TDs missed by Milroe because he locked in a read and missed guys running free. By running free, I mean Tennessee literally blew the coverage and left guys all alone. Milroe either forced a pass or run, or worse didn't run and lost yards.

Exactly. And when you point these things out his surrogates continue to stump for him. It’s madness. Milroe is the worst quarterback in modern Alabama football history. Blake Sims had his limitations but he improved and led us to the SEC championship. Could’ve easily won the NC if Kiffin had run Derrick Henry more against Ohio State.

You not watching every game them. Seems like every replay they showed I'm like "he wide open right there" but Jalen staring down Williams.

Literally no one is stumping for him at this point. You're just arguing with yourself.

Certainly I'm not stumping for him. I guess I'm too focused on just watching the ball. I just wondered if it was true, because I recall people here saying the same things about Bryce Young missing open receivers.

Of all the QB's to pick, you picked Bryce? The guy that went through 3-4 progressions even while he was scrambling for his life every play?

And the WR group in 2022 was extremely average, especially running BoB's shitty routes, so there were rarely guys "running wide open."

This season though, there were open receivers pretty much every play. DeBoer is a lot like Sark when it comes to scheming at least one guy wide the frick open every snap. If you watch the Unofficial Assistant Coach channel on YouTube, he makes it pretty obvious how many missed big plays and TD's Milroe missed this season, usually up the seam.

If we're frustrated watching, imagine being the open WR/TE.

An elite TE would absolutely feast in this offense. Because yes, they were open all the goddamn time.

He said elite. If they were elite we wouldn't need any out of the portal imo.

2026 in-state CB Zyan Gibson is on commitment watch to Bama. High 4* guy from Gadsden.

It wasn't me that said there were open receivers Bryce missed. But I distinctly recall posters on here repeatedly complaining at the time about Bryce missing open receivers every game due to his height.
