Agree, but I think the "cat is out of the bag" Some got what they asked for.

I got no problem with players making money doing appearances, signing autographs, selling merch(like Jalen and Terrion's LANK stuff), and other things that are genuine NIL.

The problem is when boosters like A&M's oil barons or Jimmy Rane at the Barn drop millions to entice players to come to their school. If Perry Thompson is going to accept a bag to go to Auburn then at the very least he should be obligated to appear in some Yellawood commercials.

Insider from one of the Georgia boards says Raiola is gone. Flipping to Nebraska.

I heard Railola was flipping to Nebraska. The Dawgs are hosed, at least for a bit if Beck leaves. Kind of hard to flnd a good QB at the last minute this year.

They still have the kid from Connecticut committed to them in this class. He's a good player.

To be honest, their track record with 5-star QBs is embarrassingly bad. Raiola may be doing them a favor.

They would find a good transfer portal QB if Beck leaves.

Very true. Kind of reminds me of the string of 5 stars we had that Jalen made transfer.

I tend to agree with a talking head I heard the other day. This current NIL stuff isnt sustainable. Just think about the money the TAMU boosters flushed down the toilet. Its just stupid.

They don't care though. If Aggy NIL slows down the next couple of years it'll just be because they had to deplete the war chest to get rid of Jimbo. Think of it this way: how many elite high school players were complete busts in college prior to NIL being a thing, and how many of those do you think got paid a lot of money to go to the college they did? Boosters have always wasted money on recruiting. When you have that kind of money you tend to develop very expensive hobbies, and influencing recruiting in favor of their team is a hobby for many boosters. NIL will never naturally correct itself because the people funding 95% of it do so out of motivation to help their team win football games rather than a monetary ROI. If the players they buy don't win, they'll just replace the coach and keep buying players for the next one.

Well, if true, I'm not feeling good about Ryan Williams. Someone on the recruiting board said that he was visiting AU again this Saturday. LINK

I've also noticed on this twitter account, he has no mention of being committed to Alabama.

Here is to hoping he flips and Beck leaves. They just lost Brock Vandagriff to the portal and would be down to a 4 star recruit and Gunner Stockton for next year. That would be awesome.

This one will have many twists and turns everyone will try to analyze before it’s all said and done. From the outside in, it looks very familiar regarding the way interest in AU usually goes for those with pressure to go to BAMA. Either way it goes, we’ll be just fine. AU is throwing massive amounts of cash around right now to try to get an edge in recruiting.
