I’m hoping Bama will pick up a quality DT and WR in the portal. They won’t be cheap but other than maybe pizza, you don’t get something for nothing.

Bryson Cooley is apparently waiting until Friday to sign.

Lanes going to hold on to him. They’re going to come in with money to hold him.

I think that was pretty well accepted regardless of how the recruiting season went.

OL in particular needs to be rebuilt. Guesses here?

LT: Carroll / TBD
LG: TBD / Miller or TBD?
C: TBD / Ionata
RG: Formby / TBD
RT: Lloyd / TBD

DE: Renaud / Collins / Keeley
NT: Simmons / TBD
DT: Smith / Hill

Rush: Pierre (NFL?) / Russaw / Hill
WLB: TBD / Metz?
MLB: TBD / Reese?

William Sanders should compete for one of the interior oline spots, Beaman returning from injury for NT, and Cayden Jones at ilb.

I was kind of assuming he leaves for the draft absent any major injury situation along with Proctor.

He will probably make more money staying in college.

There's a chance they might work Russaw at ILB in the Spring. Also, Carroll will likely be at RT and not LT. Lloyd was recruited as a true LT type. William Sanders likely at C.

The hope is that Ty goes pro. We REALLY don't need the issue that would arise with him staying. Let's not kid ourselves. Not many are like Ty in their willingness to stay around for a few years before he got his shot. Russell would more than likely be gone. It's been said by some that I trust that we're hoping this is what happens (Ty going pro and Russell taking over... by the way, I'd guess Mack would go to Oregon State where I think he would shred the teams they go up against).

Saw Cabell play in person while visiting my daughter . Not sour grapes but wasn’t impressive from what I saw. May turn into an All American

We'd be down to a true Sophomore and two true Freshman scholarship QBs if this plays out.

Brailsford would likely be a late first rounder. NFL is desperate for good centers right now. Several teams are destitute at the position.

The worst starting center in the league is actually Bradley Bozeman at the moment. There's like 5 backup centers playing better than him. Chargers desperately need a center.

Ty isn't staying. I keep seeing him projected as a first rounder. Nick always said if you project as a first rounder, you need to go. I agree.

Yeah. I would imagine we would go get someone out of the portal (probably from a smaller school) that wouldn't mind coming in and being a backup. That's soon to be every team's dilemma. It won't just be our dilemma. Nobody is going to have a whole lot of experience behind their starter.

The general rule of thumb is that in a weak QB class, if you're even CLOSE to a first round grade, you should go. You'll wind up going in the first round. Teams aren't suddenly going to stop drafting QBs early... even in off years.

Russaw can't be what they want at ILB with us wanting smaller faster type guys.

Yep, Ty Simpson is a 1st rounder in this draft. We've seen that bad QB draft pool doesn't stop several going in the first round. QB is so crucial to a franchise's success, if you need one then you got to take one and hope he's a hit.
