Dean and Shane Lee fit our system better. He’s basically Jeffery holland 2.0.

Also if they don’t hire an OC that can run a pro style offense then Nix will just be stidham 2.0. They’re honestly better off hiring a gimmicky OC and playing Willis or Gatewood but they won’t cus of Nix

I love that the Bama, Georgia, and Auburn insiders all say Webb says their respective coach is his best relationship.

Webb will be UGA or Clemson IMO. He just seems like he's looking for a reason to leave the state. Reminds me of Ross last year who ended up at Clemson. It would be a nice surprise if he picks Bama, but I'm not expecting it.

I wished we would offer/take DeVonta Lee to help ensure we got Sopsher and maybe take his brother as PWO. The melt would be good reading for the next year

LINK ]Rivals Rankings Week: Breaking down the linebackers -- Rob Cassidy, aka "Clueless"

quote:

Rivals Rankings Week rolls forward with the release of the positions rankings. There were shakeups at every position, but here we focus on the linebackers, where a new No. 1 was crowned. Below is a more detailed exploration of the position.

Auburn pledge Owen Pappoe lost his fifth star in the most recent rankings update, but he remains the top committed linebacker prospect in America. He also remains extremely talented and an important part of Gus Malzahn’s recruiting haul. Pappoe may have a higher upside than anyone in the class, as his length and prototypical build make him a safe bet to find his way to the NFL Draft. He’s the type of player that could play early at Auburn and has shown no signs of re-thinking his commitment as things currently stand.

PLAYER TO WATCH: Nakboe Dean

A newly minted five-star, Nakobe Dean lacks elite length but makes enough plays and shows enough athleticism to make up for it. That said, all eyes will be on the new No. 1 linebacker at the upcoming Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game, as he’ll need to back up his lofty ranking in order to keep it. The reality of rankings is that the bar is higher for players that don’t blow scouts away getting off the bus, but there’s reason to believe Dean will be just fine in what should be a competitive all-star event.

TEAM TO WATCH: Georgia

The uncommitted Dean, with his new five-star ranking, is expected to sign with Georgia, which should make Bulldog fans plenty happy. Barring something wild happening down the stretch, UGA will land the country’s top linebacker, in addition to four-star fellow linebacker Rian Davis, who has been in the fold for months. Davis missed a good chunk of his senior season with a knee injury, so his rehabilitation is something to watch this offseason. It certainly seems less likely than it once did that Davis makes an early impact on the Bulldogs’ defense.

There's been a fair amount of stuff posted from credible sources that says Alabama leads for Sopsher and Dean. There's been some stuff posted from lame sources saying otherwise.

You habitually choose to believe all posts that don't favor Bama and choose to have no faith in posts that favor Bama -- without any regard for the quality of the sources. Why?

Look honestly today I'm trying to keep it interesting in here, it's been dry and I thought it would be going nuts. I personally believe we get dean and maybe 50/50 on sopsher.
