It isn't true, at least not as of right now.

Also, FootballScoop sucks arse. That place is wrong as often as they are right.

May be BS but it’s all over FB that the whole Oregon Athletic Department is going on probation. Any truth and if so does it help us with Thibodeaux?

Couldn't hurt.

Hopefully it isn't and we can find a way to elevate his role here and keep him around for another year or two.

Hope that is true. It is definitely one of the infamous "Sources" reports. Gattis is a great coach and recruiter, I really hope he sticks around.

Trey Sanders

Kirby is in home with Sanders at IMG today. I’m waiting to see the outcome of that visit before I think there’s real smoke.

To be called as crazy as LSU fans makes me step back and evaluate my entire life...

UGA fans were about being beck in the playoffs for this year and did not happen. You guys are like an emotional roller coaster.

I will go on record and say Kirby will never win a NC at UGA. That I think he turns out to be another Richt in that he will have the team in contention but never get over the hump. Again just how I see it and whether you agree or not it is just an opinion either way because he has yet to get there.

I think Sanders is visiting UGA this weekend correct? I mean y’all have a logjam at RB even with the transfer and possibly losing Holyfield but if you get them on campus you never know . I think he will pick the good guys in the end though

Why would he not? N Smith is there and I assume he is talking with E Neal as well. Unless Kirby is clueless he would schedule to visit them all. That is what he gets paid for. To many people read what they want to and jump to conclusions. Which is why I think recruiting is so entertaining because fans get so worked up over stories with half truths from their team sites, miss quotes, or sites getting clicks by speculating when yet they know very little.

I'm going to have to disagree with you there, TW. Kirby is building a machine. The amount of talent heading to Athens alone means they will be in contention for years to come. I suspect they'll be back in the playoff or on the verge again next year. They will win a natty at some point. But you're right, we have no way of knowing.

I thought I read all the IMG guys are going to UGA this weekend including Neal.

It wouldn't be a bama rant recruiting thread without a coaching changes meltdown

I took a beating for this when he committed, but at the time I said I wanted Wandale instead of Keilan to commit.

I'm pretty sure everyone is in agreement on this.

It's nothing serious with the football program. I do think Thibs is leaning Bama though.

As far as I know, Sanders isn’t currently scheduled for an OV at UGA. Neal is coming up this weekend, but we don’t really have a shot there.

The goal is to get Sanders to OV Georgia instead of Florida on the 14th weekend. If that switch happens, then it will be a finish to watch.

Regarding Kirby as a coach, I’m very impressed by his recruiting, roster management, and overall organization. Those things will have us in contention every year, but I will say that I don’t think Kirby will get over the hump until he substantially develops as an in game coach.
