Yeah, there’s no good reason for Webb not to have already committed if Bama was his top choice. He can still take visits and enjoy the process if that’s what he wanted to do. He acts like Bama fans would be insane like L8U fans if he announced for UGA or Clemson. That’s just not the case. The reasons for remaining tight lipped escape me, especially if he’s going to Tuscaloosa. That’s why I just don’t think he’s gonna sign with Bama.

Maybe it's simply that Webb is still undecided and just doesn't want to share much about his recruitment.
Nakobe Dean is another one who's very tight lipped. One of his HS coaches and one of his teachers have said that Dean has decided but hasn't shared it with anyone, not even his mom.

I am not sure why you think he has to pander to recruiting sites and reporters regarding his college decision. He said long ago that ge would announce at a specific time. He has not hedged on that and has stuck to his word. But because he has not broken his word, fans are running around claiming he is this or he is that. When he said he would announce in December, everyone said he was a lock to Bama. Now, since he's still going to announce when he said he was, he obviously is not going to Bama...
The logic is spot on.

But if he doesn't want to commit immediately and do things on his time, it's an issue?
He may not go to Bama, but some folk are acting like he's being dramatic by keeping things close to the vest and not doing many interviews...

Jordan Battle hell yea. Jag says he is the hottest safety prospect out since and during the summer circuit.

Yes/no. Plenty of Five stars disappeared into the abyss b/c they didn't want to work hard, etc. Look at that fat kid that committed to UK over Alabama. Greg McElroy called him out awhile back.

Tim says Bama is being very selective at safety, really likes Battle and that OSU is worried about his verbal. Battle has not visited Columbus this season. Hank says Battle, Pola-Gates and Carter appear to be the top DB targets who could end up in our class. He says our DB commits are all solid and that Williams, Turnage, Pola-Gates, maybe Battle too, all have versatility to play CB or safety. Hellams is strictly a safety. It's hard to tell yet if we'll have room for 2 more DBs or only 1.

Tell that to Marlon, Mack, Julio, etc. All who waiting until much closer to NSD to make their commitment.

With Bogle on the visitors lost this week for Miss state if he wanted to commit would we Just take him and pass on Thibs ? I know we are only taking one more of him, Thibs and Nolan? I don’t think Nolan will flip. So is Boyle worth taking or waiting for Thins to possibly go to Oregon ? Thins is special no doubt but Bogle is a great player too

I’d have a hard time telling Bogle to wait.

Bogle isn't an early enrollee and doesn't seem to be in a rush. He's going to be a really good one but needs to beef up a good bit. If he decides before early signing day that he wants in and Bama likes their chances of getting Thibo or Smith (both early enrollees), I think Bama will be able to hold Bogle in line behind them until early signing day. Thibo plans to announce on his birthday, Dec 15. The early signing period starts Dec 19th.

I definitely like Battle. Long arms . Plays just like Harrison . Love Carter super fast . Gates too lol! We had such a good DB class last year . And all these this year loading up . Unless we have some decommitts , or blue shirts we gonna pass on a lot of talent . Sabin has built this like no other coach today . Incredible.

Wonder how far Lucky is looking into Smith's tweet to Mack Wilson about Bama being "us"?
Posted on 11/5/18 at 3:16 pm to Rizzy
He's reacting to that tweet and for all we know it could be trolling.
Posted on 11/5/18 at 3:19 pm to YStar
You never know with Nolan. I wouldn't be surprised if he's trolling

I wonder if Lucky makes CB picks to mainly promote site traffic.
Tim: "Shannon likes to have fun with his CBs but he tries to get them all right. He hears stuff around the office and when pubs go into town or call him. He's busy building empires, but he's still an every day reader. Don't forget everyone in the network still works for him, lol. But I'm not ready to CB him (Smith)."
