Bullinski-bama leads, they don’t want to take his commitment right now. Jahleel Billingsley? quote: Dylan wright- he officially visited and would commit now but bama wants him to hold off. Don’t think they’ll take his commitment as it stands. Wright's visit was unofficial, according to BOL. BOL-Hank: "Four-star WR Dylan Wright visited Alabama last Friday. He says he's looking for more of family feel at a school and thinks Alabama is more business like, although he wants to get a better look at things on an OV."

Yes Jahleel, this will be a late development commitment if it happens, staff isn’t sure if they want to take a TE.
My apologies, thought Wright was a OV. Like I was saying he wanted to commit but the staff told him to hold off. Will see what happens, if they give him the go ahead; he will commit.

I’ll try to get some more concrete nuggets on who the new commitments are. Was told they’ll go public by the end of month but probably sooner.
Also should have more info on the other visitors last weekend.
This is a huge weekend coming up, bama will likely have 20 or more commitments going into the July dead period and I’ll release some nuggets on this weekend at some point next week.
Stay tuned and Roll Tide.

Hmmm, just got some more information on Jahleel, the staff may take his commitment soon, they want a TE but are not sure if they can with the other needs in this class. So they might just take his commitment now and work it out later. Even if that means he’s kicked out in the end.

I don't think it's possible to have too much kimchi and spicy bulgogi.

I'm not questioning whether or not he gets good info (he seems to), or whether or not it is accurate (we'll certainly see in time). I'm not even questioning if it is specific enough (most people's message board info is at least somewhat vague).

I was just saying that between 109a and 116a was an odd time of day to be "just now" getting some info. Maybe he and his crew are up late. I'm in my 30s, so I'm asleep long before the clock reaches that hour usually.

The upset over a "commitable offer" in the LSU Quad Brown thread is hilarious. I swear I wonder what goes on with people. This kid, who doesn't look like Alabama is his first choice to begin with, may get a chance to play for the top program in the country which happens to be an hour and 30 minutes from home if things fall his way, and people are yelling try to commit right now and see what happens. I can see them if they were told, "Hey you are second choice for this job if our first candidate drops out. The salary is 2 million dollars," and them going "Kiss my arse, I ain't no back-up plan, I will continue to do my driving with Uber until I get a commitable offer." Folks is crazy about the if you offer, it can't be without conditions, you have to be able to commit on the spot.

Just checking in... Haven't been on the boards much at all.

Congrats on the the Eboigbe grab. Going to be a good one.

Without reading too far back through the thread, I assume a lot of the sky is falling people from the lead up to NSD I and II of 2018 are now satisfied with the success Alabama is having on the crootin' trail this cycle thus far?

LINK ]2020 Rivals100 DB Dwight McGlothern on ties to Aggies, Tide

Dwight McGlothern was fierce in pass coverage at the Pylon 7-on-7 National Championships.
quote:

ATLANTA, GA – 2020 Rivals100 defensive back Dwight McGlothern has long been the target of some of the best programs in Texas and the southeast. Now, as the summer ahead of his junior season begins, he’s hoping to add a few more programs to his portfolio of offers.

Auburn, Florida, Florida State and USC are all teams that he names when asked about teams he would like to see turn interest into offers, because he’s already got a couple of big ones that have been weighing heavy in his recruitment to-date. Notably, Alabama and Texas A&M have been the most present with him and following his appearance in the Pylon 7-on-7 National Championships over the weekend, he made a stop in Tuscaloosa that ended with a tweet featuring head coach Nick Saban.

Outside of the Aggies, Crimson Tide and some of the other teams mentioned south of the Mason-Dixon Line that he’s had interest in, McGlothern said that Penn State has kept up its interest in him and is staying in the picture with him as he continues to consider sort through the programs that have offered him and where they fall within his recruitment. “They’re great,” he said. “I love the whole staff and am always talking to them. They’re cool. I’m their top priority in Texas, I feel like they mostly come down to Texas for me. I like them, like their character and they’re building leaders.”

IN HIS WORDS

On Alabama

“Coach (Karl) Scott is always checking up on me and stuff,” he said. “He’s always talking to my parents when we call him and he’s just a cool person. He’s a cool DB coach and it feels like I know him like a cousin or something. He’s not like other DB coaches that think they’re the stuff – he’s a really cool person and I like him.”

“I’ve been looking forward to meeting the new DB’s and building more of a connection out there,” he said. “If that’s the place that I want to be, then I am going to try my hardest to let them know that. If you’ve ever been up there, you know it’s straight business. They’ve been winning national championships, but I’m also hoping to see a little something different.”

On Texas A&M

“They’re great, I’m always up there,” he said. “I have people up there and whenever I go up there, I go with a couple of other guys and we train with Leon (O’Neal). We just put in work and chill up there all the time … Jimbo (Fisher) is a great coach. He knows what to do, is very relaxed, and he has so much confidence.

“When I was talking to him he was making me laugh talking about how he could not get blown out by LSU this year,” he added. “He was like, we’ve got to fix that big time and he knows how to win. He’s already got a ring.”
