Ever had any dealings with Cosmos travel?

Nah, I haven't. I'm not big on traveling. I'm a home body. I pretty much like to stay in a routine with everything. It's a mental problem, I believe

Some of these high roller posters might have some experience with them though. Surge might can help ya.

Cobra, you should get out and see the world. My wife is working with Cosmos to swap trips. Rail trip thru the Canadian Rockies. 8 days from Calgary to Vancouver. Late July to early August. I'll still lose a little bit but at least I won't miss any football.

I learned in that epic 77 page thread on the LSU rb that Alabama only offered Brown to keep LSU from getting Jayson Jones.

NUGGETS

Also
Leal-Leal had a great visit but it’s going to be a tough flip from Texas Am, I don’t expect a decommitment at the moment. The staff has to stay on him and maybe they’ll pull through
Dean- Alabama wanted the early ov so dean would be the most comfortable with them the soonest, the engineering program tour really helped bama and his mom is likely on our side now or torn between UGA and bama. Either way, bama is the favorite again.
Hill-don’t have much right now, I was told it was 50/50 but also told it would be a tough pull.
Bullinski-bama leads, they don’t want to take his commitment right now.
Dylan wright- he officially visited and would commit now but bama wants him to hold off. Don’t think they’ll take his commitment as it stands.

I should here more on the other unofficial visitors at some point this week.
Also I’m unsure who but bama could gain 4-5 commitments sometime soon. All I know is Metchie is one but Im also not sure if they told any of them to hold off.
On top of that bama thinks they’ll gain a couple more after the cookout.

Also I’d like to add, bama offered instate Qb Cornelius Brown today after a great camp performance. Don’t be mistaken this kid is actually really good and don’t be surprised if he rises to 4 star status by the end of his senior season but this was also a nudge to Taulia and his family to lock down their commitment to Alabama.
Bama will not take 3 QBs in this cycle and brown probably won’t end up in this class.

Wright's visit was unofficial, according to BOL.

BOL-Hank: "Four-star WR Dylan Wright visited Alabama last Friday. He says he's looking for more of family feel at a school and thinks Alabama is more business like, although he wants to get a better look at things on an OV."

Probably more like: We have to hold off for now because we don't know yet if we'll have room. Let's stay in touch regularly and we want you to come back for an official visit.

LINK ]Nation's top DB Daxton Hill details 'eye-opening' Alabama OV (BamaOnLine-VIP)

5-star S/CB Daxton Hill 6-1/187 OK hudl

The visit was exellent for Hill and his family, in all aspects. He really likes Coach Scott and Saban. He said he has no leader yet and wants to take his other OVs early in the fall before deciding.

ETA: Hank feels Bama is in very good position, provided Hill's other OVs don't disrupt it. Hank doesn't place CBs without very high confidence.

LINK ]Top Alabama WR target John Metchie closing in on decision

John Metchie is one of Bama's top WR targets.
quote:

Welcome to SEC Country’s daily Roll Tide-ings, a rundown of everything happening in Alabama Crimson Tide recruiting with Chris Kirschner. In this edition, we talk the latest with one of Alabama’s top wide receiver targets.

John Metchie committing soon?

John Metchie has taken official visits to both of his top schools, Alabama and Penn State, this month. Metchie says Michigan and Notre Dame are still in the mix, but official visits haven’t been set to either school. It’s likely that Metchie will choose either the Crimson Tide or Nittany Lions.

“The biggest difference to me is the culture of the two teams,” Metchie told SEC Country. “Penn State has more of a family-type of culture around the program. Obviously, Alabama has a family environment, too, but Penn State prides itself on being a family. Alabama is more about getting down to business and getting things done. I would say I am looking for a mix of the two.”

Metchie, who is one of Alabama’s top wide receiver targets in the 2019 class, made his first visit to Tuscaloosa last weekend with his mother accompanying him. The 4-star prospect from St. James School (Hagerstown, Md.) said his expectations of the visit were exceeded. He expected to see great facilities and great athletes, but what left a major impression was how much work goes into being one of the best teams every season.

The 6-foot, 185-pound prospect spent much of his time with his player host, wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, and the other receivers on the roster. He said the conversations he had with them were invaluable because he truly got to understand the time it takes to see the field and how the coaches always push the players.

He also spent time with wide receivers coach Josh Gattis, who has been recruiting him since his days at Penn State. Gattis has prioritized Metchie for about two years now, and that close relationship is a key factor for why Alabama is strongly in the mix.

“He told me I have a big opportunity there to always compete against the best every day in practice,” Metchie said of Gattis’ message. “That’s only going to make me that much better of a player.”

Gattis also broke down how he sees Metchie fitting in the Tide offense. “The biggest question I needed answered was how I would fit into their scheme,” Metchie said. “They think I’m versatile enough to play any of the wide receiver positions. Because of my skill set and size, they see me being able to play inside or outside, depending on the play.”

Metchie said his mother, Joyce, also had her questions answered. He said that she liked what the school has to offer from an education standpoint — Metchie plans on majoring in communications — to the team’s plans on the field.

“She was really fond of Nick Saban with just how much experience he has and the way he talks about his team and players,” Metchie said. “She could tell that the players mean a lot to him.”

Now that he’s back in Maryland, Metchie plans to use the next few days to decide what his next step is going to be. “It’s a difficult decision because of the relationships I have at both places,” he said. “I can’t go to both places, so it’s going to be tough.”

Don’t be surprised to see Metchie make his commitment by the end of the week. Alabama is my pick.
