National Signing Day is five days away, but first an important weekend of visits is on tap. BamaOnLine has already reported who is expected in Tuscaloosa this weekend. Here's a look at where the rest of the Tide's targets and commits are visiting:
Alabama commits:
LINK ]Byron Young, 4-star DT, Laurel (Miss.) West Jones -- LSU
Young will use his final official visit to Baton Rouge, a trip that had been on the schedule twice before (once for the Alabama game in November, and then again at the end of November), but had to be rescheduled both times.
The Tigers are viewed as the Tide's chief competition in the Byron Young sweepstakes. However, Young has never once publicly wavered from his commitment to Alabama that he made on July 4 outside of using official visits, something he said he was going to do from the beginning.
Nick Saban visited with Young on Tuesday. Likely aiding the Tide even more is the expected hire of Mississippi State defensive line coach Brian Baker who served as primary recruiter for Young with the Bulldogs, another top school of the All-American's.

LINK ]Khris Bogle, 4-star WDE, Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Cardinal Gibbons -- Miami
This is arguably the visit that has the most on the line of any Tide commit. Bogle will use a second official visit to Coral Gables (the NCAA allows a prospect to use another official visit to a program that had a head coaching change) and the Hurricanes are pushing hard for a flip.
There are plenty of rumors and theories as to what will happen here, but one certainty is that Alabama is still right in the thick of it going up against Miami and Florida. Bogle has been pretty tight-lipped since the Polynesian Bowl.
His mother spoke with us last week and said she believes playing for Nick Saban is the best opportunity. I caught up with her again this week and she says she's in the same boat of many that are wondering what Bogle is going to do next Wednesday

LINK ]Keilan Robinson, 4-star RB, Washignton (D.C.) St. John's College -- USC
Robinson is taking his second official visit of his recruitment (was at Alabama Dec. 7-9) to USC this weekend. While it's certainly a visit to watch, the feeling as it stands is that the 4-star back is set on his decision with the Tide, especially after new running backs coach Charles Huff spent time with him over the past couple of weeks.
LINK ]Christian Williams, 4-star CB, Daphne (Ala.) -- LSU
Williams is listed as a soft commit to the Tide. The in-state corner, however, is not expected to sign with Alabama. LSU is where we currently have him projected and is where he's visiting this weekend.

Alabama targets:
LINK ]Ishmael Sopsher, 4* DT, Amite, LA -- LSU
Another big official visitor in Baton Rouge, Sopsher's recruitment has been an interesting one to follow, but appears as though it's coming down to Alabama or LSU, with Texas A&M staying involved as well. The Tide's been trending for a good chunk of the fall, but Ed Orgeron and staff are pressing to keep one of the state's top players home. Alabama has won its fair share of battles with the Tigers for the Bayou State's best. This weekend will determine whether that continues.
LINK ]Henry To'oto'o, 4-star OLB, Concord (Calif.) De La Salle -- no visits
To'oto'o is not expected anywhere this weekend, meaning the Tide got the last official visit from the All-American linebacker.
LINK ]Javonne Shepherd, 4* OT, Houston (TX) North Forest -- Texas commit -- Texas
The Longhorns commit is returning to Austin for his final official visit this weekend. Will Tom Herman and staff hang on? Alabama, Texas A&M are keeping it very interesting leading up to National Signing Day.

LINK ]Brett Seither, 3-star TE, Clearwater (Fla.) Central Catholic -- Penn State (unofficial)
The Tide tight end target is expected in Happy Valley for his last college visit before making a decision. Alabama and Georgia are thought to be neck and neck at this time for the rising prospect, but the Nittany Lions could certainly state their case this weekend as well. Jeff Banks visited Seither Friday morning before he left.
2020 Alabama commits:
LINK ]Carson Beck, 4-star QB, Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin -- Florida (Saturday); Miami (Sunday)
The Tide's 2020 signal caller pledge will check out the in-state schools this weekend, both of which are the Tide's chief competition in this recruitment. Beck plans to get back to Tuscaloosa at some point this spring to meet the new staff and spend more time with them.
LINK ]Jackson Bratton, 4-star ILB, Muscle Shoals (Ala.) -- Texas A&M
The Tide inside linebacker commit is traveling to Texas on Friday to visit the Aggies program on Saturday. He remains solid with his commitment despite visits elsewhere.

I just watched some film featuring Marvin Harrison, Jr. He's a WR like his daddy but he's 6-3 and will be a junior next season. UF, Penn State and Syracuse have offered. He's the number #1 WR in Pennsylvania in his class. We need to offer him.

Without having even looked at his 247 page before, I'm comfortable saying he's an ohio state lock and will change his last name to Bosa.

The first stop of 10 in the 2019 Under Armour All-America high school camp circuit is in talent-rich south Florida Sunday.
As one would expect, some of the top college football prospects in the state of Florida will look to compete at Coconut Creek (Fla.) North Broward Prepatory School with potential invites to the Under Armour All-America Game, Future 50 prospect camp and more on the line... (article)

Carson Beck visited Florida yesterday.
He told the Gators 247 site they were up in his Top 2-3 along with Miami. He says he wants to make a "final decision" before the Summer.
The guy doing the interview, Luke Stampini, CB'd him to Florida shortly after the article was posted.

Florida has received four CBs for Carson Beck in the last 48 hours.

Can't blame him for looking around. Little Tua or Tyson will get RS next year so when Beck arrives one will have plenty of experience backing up Tua and expected to be the starter, assuming Tua leaves for the pros. Beck probably at best would not start until his junior year. You Mullen selling him on coming in early and competing and Miami new HC pushing the same.
Posted on 2/3/19 at 8:49 am to TideWarrior
I agree but there will be competition wherever he goes . Emory Jones at UF and a Mullen type Qb will just be a soph next year
Posted on 2/3/19 at 9:04 am to Bear88
This is why I never get excited about a kid in a future class. To many variables. Everyone seems to think little Tua will replace his brother and be able to do the same thing. If so that would mean he has the starting QB position for 2 years with Beck at best a backup. Now come fall Tyson is the backup and Little Tua takes a RS Beck and other QBs will look at UA differently.
Posted on 2/3/19 at 9:07 am to TideWarrior
Does anyone see Jones as a legit backup should Tua get hurt
Posted on 2/3/19 at 9:28 am to mrbroker
After spring yes ......after MSU
Posted on 2/3/19 at 9:43 am to mrbroker
Just last fall we had people on here saying he should be the backup and he was better than Jalen Hurts (who was destorying the team).
