With two freshmen QB's and Mac with plenty of time in the playbook; I think they will all three get plenty of playing time next year with an opportunity for the staff and the fans to see what they have in the toolbox. Unless one of the freshmen QB's really shows out in some of his Four games PT; I would think Mac gets any of the serious PT if Tua goes down.
I for one would love to get a chance to see Hatcher show his stuff; but imagine that will have to be in the A-Day game this year.
Not sure about the rest of you; but, I am really excited to see the Spring game this year... tons of new coaches and tons of new players who will be needed in the fall. IMHO, this could be one of the most significant springs in quite a while.

Spring is the best indicator. You can't bury a kid on a depth chart and then not open up your playbook to him when you DO put him in a game...not fair to kid or team.

Reported that when the visitors got in on Friday night,
quote:

"Jerrion Ealy is being hosted by Brian Robinson; Quashon Fuller is being hosted by Antonio Alfano."

Fuller and Alfano were on the same team for the All American Bowl
Robinson a true BAM from Tuscaloosa and someone who would not shy away from competition or get discouraged early on.

They did give him opportunities in that game granted against a great defense but he looked horrible even on swing passes and slants

In actual 2019 in-game action? Nah, if they're in, they'll be handing the ball off.

I agree but there will be competition wherever he goes . Emory Jones at UF and a Mullen type Qb will just be a soph next year

Florida also has a kid in the 2019 class named Jalon Jones that has a chance to be a star. Really really like him.

Florida has received four CBs for Carson Beck in the last 48 hours.

Beck's 4 new UF CBs are from 2 UF mods and 2 FSU mods, after his UF on Sat 2/1. He's visiting Miami on Sun 2/2.

LSU mod update: Expect Williams to sign with LSU. Doubtful Young flips. Cautiously optimistic on Sophser, pending what Watts learns from the Bama side after Ish's LSU OV.

From LSU Rb

quote:

Just met his sister in laurel. They just got back from LSU, and said the visit was bar none the best trip they had. Coach O blared tiger songs over the loud speakers and let his whole family run on the field out of the locker room like before a game. Her words: my dad wants him to go to Bama, but I’m betting he picks LSU based on his comments this morning. She wouldn’t tell me his comments.

Thought you were taking about Sopsher, but I went over to the rant. It was said in regards to Young. Anyone have verified intel?

Also, they think that Christian Williams is a flip. I thought everyone knew that he wasn’t expected to sign with Alabama. Oh well, whatever makes it seem like Alabama lost out.

Tim Watts early Sunday nuggets -- summary:

Brett Seither didn't take the unofficial visit to Penn State that he'd planned. Tim said sources this morning indicate it's a 50/50 UA/UGA battle right now, could go either way, still deciding and may inform coaches by tomorrow.

Jerrion Ealy -- Waiting to see how his camp feels after returning from his OV, but the visit went well for Bama's chances.

Keilan Robinson -- UA visited, explained interest in Ealy -- not thought to be a concern since his role is APB. Prior to USC OV, sources close to him "would be very surprised" if he didn't sign with UA. Nothing new yet since his USC OV.
