Definitely keep your eyes on Sorrells......more interest on BOTH sides then is out in the public.

What makes you guys say he isnt a wR? He didnt look terrible. Just dropped a couple passes. Pretty impressive athlete. He could be special at H back.

I didn't say he isn't a WR. I simply asked YStar if he thinks Devonta Lee seems like a good fit for ILB. Bama's interest in Lee earlier in the year was more on defense -- safety. But he's 212 lbs and might not be fast enough for safety. So I wonder if maybe he's a better fit at ILB (beef him up by 15 lbs) than safety.

I would guess Dent or Cross. Cross to possibly replace losing Hill, or Dent in case Williams flips.

Bama isn't actively recruiting Akeem Dent or Nick Cross anymore. FSU commit Quashon Fuller is the kid that said Bama staff contacted him from the Orange Bowl and had facetimed with him. Fuller, Sorrells and Harrison-Hunte are options in case we miss on 2 or 3 of Young, Pickering and Sopsher. Bama also isn't pushing right now for Darnell Wright or Devonta Lee.

It looks like Bama has 6 spots left (23 signees) and is aiming to sign Robinson, 2 DL (Young plus Pickering or Sopsher), To'oto'o, Bogle and Banks. If we sign those six the total is 29, which may be all that Bama can take without blue or greyshirts. Maybe Christian Williams can/would blueshirt; i.e., he'd arrive for fall camp, receive a fall scholly and count toward 2020's initial counters limit.

Jordan Davis and Layne Hatcher didn't count against the 2018 signing and initial counter limits, so that gives us two 2018 spots that two 2019 early enrollees can count against. Tyson and Reichard are early enrollees who didn't sign NLIs, so it appears they might not be going on football scholarships initially, which could allow for taking 29 total including them.

Sorrels looks like he is going to be good

Sorrels has really impressed me.

I also think Neal will be a starter for us at some point next season

a quick off topic post - the ACC refs showing their hardon for the SEC... not a LSU Fan but they are getting fricked by the refs... hard to win against a team that doesnt have to worry about getting flagged

Antonio Alfano is having a dominant day. Just stuffed another run at him in this scrimmage period. Nobody can block him.
