STANDING OVATION: ALABAMA
Alabama is looking to take that No. 1 spot in the team rankings back in 2019, and the Crimson Tide are off to a great start. Nick Saban and has staff signed 23 during the Early Signing Period, and three were five-stars. Out of the 23 signees, seven are Rivals100 members and 11 others are slotted in the Rivals250. As strong as the group is now, there are still more elite prospects Alabama is in good position to land come February. What Saban and his staff do year in and year out is very impressive. They are in position now to take that top ranking back in 2019...
RANKING THE SEC
1. ALABAMA
The good: Alabama flipped four-star safety Jordan Battle from Ohio State and then landed five-star teammates Trey Sanders (running back) and Evan Neal (offensive tackle). They inked 23 of their 26 commitments.
The bad: Early on day one of the Early Signing Period, five-star safety Daxton Hill flipped to Michigan and signed with the Wolverines.
Top remaining target: Ishmael Sopsher, five-star defensive tackle ...

Hey sorry about your loss as well.
Man terrible time to go through something like this, especially because the holiday will forever be a reminder.
The kids and grandkids in TS case... man that is just rough.

Vols among early favorites for in-state 5-star

Five-star Class of 2020 defensive end/linebacker Reggie Grimes of Mount Juliet (Tenn.) High School celebrated Christmas by announcing Tuesday on his Twitter account that Alabama, Clemson, Louisville, LSU, Memphis, Ohio State, Purdue, South Carolina, Tennessee and Vanderbilt are the 10 schools standing out to him.
The 6-foot-3.5, 220-pound Grimes, who’s currently the No. 1 prospect from the state of Tennessee in the 2020 class, added that his current favorites were listed in alphabetical order.
Grimes wrote in a note accompanying his top contenders that the “list is only made up of schools that have offered me a scholarship and is subject to change anytime between now and when I release my top 5 during my senior season.”
He’s ranked the No. 23 overall prospect and No. 2 weakside defensive end in the 2020 class, according to the 247Sports Composite. He’s rated a four-star prospect by 247Sports, where he’s ranked the No. 21 overall player and No. 3 weakside defensive end in the 2020 class.

Grimes is the son of former Alabama defensive lineman Reggie Grimes Sr., who briefly played for the NFL’s New England Patriots.
In August, he told GoVols247 that Tennessee was one of a handful of schools standing out to him, along with Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson and South Carolina.
The younger Grimes has visited Tennessee at least three times this year, most recently attending the Vols’ 59-3 rout of East Tennessee State on Sept. 8 in their home opener. He also traveled to Knoxville in June and attended one of Tennessee’s spring scrimmages in April.
Tennessee coach Jeremy Pruitt spent two years with Grimes’ father at Alabama — first as a teammate, then for one year during Pruitt’s time as a graduate assistant for the Crimson Tide.
Grimes said earlier this year that Pruitt already had shown him that he’s a priority for the Vols. “He knows my dad. He’s recruiting me really hard,” the younger Grimes told GoVols247 at the time. “He really wants me.”
The fact that Pruitt and his father “played together” and have a strong relationship, Grimes said earlier this year, is just one of the reason he likes Tennessee.
“(I like) the fact that Coach Pruitt came down (to Mount Juliet to see) just me multiple times,” Grimes said. “They’re all competitive, the coaching staff. It’s a complete shift from the previous coaching staff.”
Grimes said in August that he’s convinced the Vols will have success under Pruitt because of “just the way that the players are now,” based on his trips to Tennessee this year.
“It’s different from the way they were when the last coaches were there,” Grimes said at the time. “It’s completely different.”
All three predictions on the 247Sports Crystal Ball point to Alabama as the favorite to land him.
Note: One of the CBs is from Hank South.

Maybe it's Oklahomey. I wonder if SOG or Flesh can tell who downvoted specific posts.

Another committed prospect that is yet to make things official, Robinson is unlikely to look around in the months ahead. In fact, some wonder if he’s already signed, but electing to keep things quiet.
I'm starting to feel that Robinson, unless he was told to hold off, signed already and is keeping it quiet based on how confident the reports are from 247 and Rivals that he is sticking with his commitment. He doesn't seem like a kid that advertises his activities but since he has committed to Bama his timeline is all Tide and there are no other official visits to any other schools listed. We will know if some officials pop up next month. Even though his schools doesn't do a ceremony until Feb, 2 of his teammates show signed to Syracuse and Vandy and 2 other committed kids are unsigned to Michigan and Colgate.

Edit: Hank said "we were told" Robinson hasn't signed, but noted that could be to keep it secret. He said a teammate did sign secretly and that he'll talk to Keilan at Under Armor practices this weekend. Hank also said "I believe that's correct" about To'oto'o announcing his decision Jan 19th at the Polynesian Bowl. He said he'll see him too and confirm it at the All-American Bowl.

I hate it for you, brother.
It's been a rough, rough day for sure.
Thank all of you for your kind words. We're all in shock in right now. I can't describe it.
My wife showed me this to help cheer me up and it is kinda funny. The SEC Network tweeted it out with the caption "It's a Major Award!!:"

Y'all have a good night and thanks again.
