Really hope that we can keep Williams if possible.

Bogle

When I watch Bogle highlights he reminds me of a former Alabama player with South Florida and the Chiefs connected to his name. Bogle is about 6'4" lean with slightly undersized high calf and slightly pigeon toed but a little slower (low 4.8 vs mid 4.5)

Derrick Thomas We could only hope...

Keeping Williams might be more likely. If Bama succeeds in signing Robinson, Young, Sopsher, To'oto'o and Bogle that would make 28 total. Williams hasn't OVd and I don't think the staff has visited him off campus, so it appears he's still eligible to blueshirt if that's needed. As a blueshirt he could participate in fall camp, enroll on a fall scholly within the 85 total counters limit and be counted toward the 2020 cycle's 25 initial counters limit. The only real downsides are that he couldn't be locked in before fall with an NLI signing or participate in summer workouts.

Here is the AL.com practice report from today
AL.com
quote:

Again, the attention was on Tua Tagovailoa’s left ankle. Earlier Wednesday he told reporters he was 80-85 percent and he looked fine in what the media could view. He was jogging without any noticeable limp and appeared to be participating in the full battery of drills. He previously said multiple times he would be 100 percent by kickoff.

It also looked like Terrell Lewis’ practice load is increasing. He was doing all of the outside linebacker drills we saw and didn’t appear to have any problems moving around. He tore his ACL in July and returned to practice before the SEC Championship Game but did not play.

DJ James might have moved ahead of all those guys on the board if we take another DB. Supposedly, Bama's staff has questions on Banks' size, Pola-Gates' top-end speed. And I'm not completely sure what the issue is with Williams, but they've seemed to want to go in another direction for a while now. But then again, with CNS, that could all change 15 times between now and February.

FWIW, the number going around (For how many more we can sign) is 6.

I'm going to guess...

1.Byron Young
2.Keilan Robinson
3.Sopsher
4.Tootoo
5.Bogle
6.Some DB

This man is just built different. That's a 12 month injury for most, maybe a 9-10 month injury for the freak athletes. To be practicing in less than 6 months is unheard of.

Eddie Jackson tore his ACL during the A-Day game in 2014 and only missed a couple of games that season.

Built out of glass.

To make a freaky recovery, you gotta be injured first. Kinda cruel to be good at doing both

Watching senior highlights of Williams,James and Banks . There’s no doubt there all good, but to me Williams is head and tails above the other two . Not even close, James is better than Banks , James does cover very well but staff knows best .

Been coaching soccer for a long time and I have a player it seems every year blow an ACL and they are back in 8 months with no issues now a days. It really comes down to to how long the rehab period is. If it takes 6 months for a full rehab than they could be out longer.

LINK ]Miami Early Signing Period Superlatives (247/InsideTheU | Dec 24)
quote:

The Early Singing Period came and went last week. Mark Richt announced the Hurricanes' 15 signees and is expected to eventually announce another in three-star defensive end Cam Williams. While Richt has made it clear that Miami is no where near done this cycle as both he and his assistants look to add more talent before February's National Signing Day, we at InsideTheU thought it would be a good time to hand out some superlatives with the dead period underway.

[SLIDE 10 of 12]

WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE: DT BRAYLEN INGRAHAM

Miami maintains that they are more than happy with the three defensive tackles it signed in Blissett, Jalar Holley and Jason Muñoz, but losing Top247 defensive tackle Braylen Ingraham to Alabama hurts. The local lineman after all had been silently committed to UM for months and seemed like a perfect scheme fit for the Hurricanes.

[SLIDE 12 of 12]

MUST GET IN FEBRUARY: DE KHRIS BOGLE

Given how everything played out last Wednesday, the Hurricanes simply need to sign Top100 defensive end Khris Bogle given the lack of options now available at defensive end. It won’t be easy seeing as how Alabama is expected to turn up the heat after missing on Kayvon Thibodeaux, but Bogle has visited Miami more than any other school throughout the recruiting process. UM has to win one of those battles.
