They patched some holes and made improvements. There's still an unusual number of players who we're losing at the finish line, more so than we were losing in 2008-2015.
Sure we missed on Clowney and other big time targets in the past but I don't remember Alabama leans turning elsewhere at this rate, this late in the process. The ESD has complicated things and we are still catching up where Georgia is well oiled and pulling in the ones we're missing on.
If they land Neal, Dean and Sanders today it'll be the biggest recruiting defeat since Saban got here. No melt, just facts.

Because we aren't those early Saban teams. 3 and low 4 stars should not make up more than 10-15% of any Alabama class.

I just skimmed the last few pages and I can’t believe how many of you are melting. You can’t get caught up in this “we’re gonna have the GOAT class” every year nonsense because then when it inevitably doesn’t happen you think a great class that will finish likely no worse than #3 means the sky is falling.
As long as we get Neal, one of Dean and To’oto’o, and Sopsher I’d say that’s a good finish that anyone in the country would be dying for. We already have guys like Quick, Alfano, and Taulia. We can’t get every elite player year after year, that’s unrealistic.

And yet most here would jump you in the last month if you would've mentioned the notion of all three ending up at Georgia, something that there's a real shot of happening today.
You just can't spin going 0-3 for those three. Yesterday when it was clear Sanders was gone everyone is saying "Dean and Neal are who matter." That still applies and losing both is huge.
