I don't often agree with Rick Neuheisel but I think he got it right; ESD in Dec in the middle of bowl/playoff season, coaching carousel in full swing, signing day just 60 days away, this is crazy bullshite. ESD should be in August with an NLI nullified if a head coach leaves or is fired before regular NSD. That way kids who know where they want to go can sign in August and shut it down for their senior season and concentrate on football.

Interesting, ik I've seen a couple of different analysts say that we wanted another CB in this class, so does battle take Williams spot or can we get battle +pola-gates/banks... I know it's greedy and gumpish

While the Durkin thing looks bad to anyone without actual knowledge of what the "consultancy" was even about, and I think it's being way overblown by the media, I do expect some kind of PR move soon to at least explain what's going on.
At this point you have to say something because you don't want people running with fake news and turning this into something it probably isn't. I don't believe we're "hiring" him, and doubt we will allow him to join our coaching-rehab-clinic. Our OC is taking over for his old position, and I don't think it's a bad idea to have them talk about some things to ensure the same mistakes aren't made in ML's tenure.
I'm sure Saban will be asked questions today about it, and I expect he won't have an issue providing a vague answer that should suffice. If recruits or their parents have concerns, they should definitely address them but only if it is brought up if it's brought up by the recruit/family.
