Random thought of the day. I want to rematch Clemson and run a pick play to Ridley about 20 times and just run the score up. If anyone says anything, they don't have a leg to stand on.

There will probably be a lot of teams running picks like that now.

Scates looks good, but I want him because I want that RB Tavion that he most likely will come with.

We already have Xavier Williams. Adding Scates would give us 2 WRs. If we can get Ross that gives us 3 WRs.

We literally don't need anymore. We took four great ones last year and we have a fanbase who hates when we throw the ball and will demand we just "run the damn ball".

I don't even know where and how this kids will play.

Wasn't too long ago that we could recruit WRs at all. Julio and Coop were great but they were outliers.

I loved Maze, White, Hanks, ect but no matter how much crimson they bled they weren't world beaters. Now we are looking at having too many top tier receivers.

It's a nice change.

Only when B12 refs are officiating.

Now that I'm getting excited about landing this kid he will commit to Ohio State in the next 48 hours.

Doesn't have an OSU offer yet. Unless it is a can't miss kid, Meyer usually like Ohio kids to camp etc to earn one. However, like Thomas, he may have to offer this kid sooner than he would like to not make it seem like he isn't serious about him.

Oh, I'm all for WRs. I'm basically taking a not so veiled/suttle shot at the group who think we should return to the 50s and run the ball all the damn time. I'm very passive aggressive against them.

I want us to keep our power identity but embrace the future of what the identity will be. That includes a vibrant pass attack. I feel Oklahoma's current offense does the best at performing this way.

It just boggles my mind how I can read a person during the season get mad we throw the ball then in the offseason hope we get top WRs and pass catching TEs. Oxymoron an all.

Well to be fair, most of the people who are saying run the damn ball are doing so because our passing game was abysmal down the stretch last season.

It wasn't all on Hurts either. We had horrendous timing on committing false starts, pass protection miscues, drops, etc.

And I don't think anyone gets mad when we throw successfully. People complain when we can't complete a pass downfield.

That's every fan base though.

Sounds good. Who's going to get him the ball, though? I'm not a Hurts hater, and he did a terrific job OVERALL for a true freshman, but something was terribly wrong with the passing game by the end of the year. Whether we want to chalk it up to him, Kiffin, going against better defenses, or whatever, there was NO really safe, high percentage passing play in our playbook by that point. When your TE is intercepting screen passes designed to your RB (that would have gone for a huge gain and might have won the game), that tells you everything you need to know.

The San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Rams, Denver Broncos, San Diego Chargers, Jacksonville Jaguars and Buffalo Bills all had NFL head coaching openings this offseason.

And every single one of them reached out to Alabama coach Nick Saban to gauge his interest, according to Mike Freeman of Bleacher Report.

A league source told me that every NFL team with a coaching opening contacted Alabama's Nick Saban. All were emphatically told "no thanks." I'm not certain whether Saban told them this directly. It could have been Saban's agent or some intermediary.

Tanner McKee is the real deal. Besides Lawrenceville of course, I think he's the best looking pro style thus year. Arm , running, height, touch. Would be great get if we land him

Cannot believe we have not offered Chatfield De, probably will be a olb. He's a beast off the edge. Scates is one of the best looking wr this year. His highlights, he has a couple break aways looks like Amari!!!

It didn't just happen last year. Happened with Coker, Sims, McCarron, etc..

They want the offense dumbed down to running out of the I-formation and bootlegs with short passes and every once and now a deep throw (only if the player is 20yds wide open).

Then turn around and demand top receiving talents sign for us lol. It's moronic.

McKee is LDS (Mormon) and may take a 2 year mission and not actually enroll until 2020.

Seems to be an amazing athlete too, multiple sport. Maybe in the mold of Riggs. Hard to turn down a local boy.
