I'm thoroughly enjoying this. There isn't much that makes me laugh more than people being blatant hypocrites

Happy Hypocrites Day, folks

What the hell is going on with Tennessee though? They finally have elite talent in their state and three of the top four go to LSU and Clemson.
For years, the excuse of UT fans is the talent level in Tennessee. They complain they have to recruit nationally. Now they can't keep their talent in their own state.

Removed blind link. It's in the Phillips thread on the SECRb.

Good pickup for them.

Butch has got to be on the hot seat.

LSU plucked 5* Jacoby Stevens out of TN, but he's from LA and never considered UT.

Tee Higgins wanted to go somewhere away from home and liked Clemson.

QB who decommitted wanted a more open path to early PT.

But from what I've read, Butch botched Phillips' recruitment.

What the hell is going on with Tennessee?

1) Dysfunctional Administration can't even manage hiring an AD.

2) Everything was supposedly set for 2016 to be their year, but Butch's "mistakes" along the way got exposed instead: S&C / injury issues, poor player development, sloppy execution, etc. Lost to SC & Vandy.

3) Kids being recruited now were "babies" when UT's relevance in FB faded away.

4) Butch's future there is looking uncertain now.

5)

LSU picks up a big LB commit and all of the threads discussing him turn into Bama/Moses threads. Those idiots are sad.

That's the only possible excuse for players not wanting to represent their state school.

I think they should shame them, their parents, and coaches. There will be no future for them or their families if they want to betray their school and state. We need to build a wall around recruiting and let it be known that if you don't play for the home team and show some state pride, there will be consequences.

Go ahead and play for LSU or Clemson, but enjoy your future selling used cars on Airline Hwy.

Taken from the LSU playbook.

One of those idiots was saying that state pride is only applicable in states that have one Power 5 team.

Jacob Phillips could have been a legend at OU. Now he'll just be another no name bench player at LSU. Kids these days are so scared of competition and they just take the easy way out.

Coach Mac's days might be numbered if he doesn't start recruiting better. This is pathetic

Cooper Bateman enrolled at Utah. He is expected to join the team in the Spring as a walk-on

Guessing he wants to just be home, being a walk on behind a returning starter doesn't really make a path to playing time.

Unless they finally release Cooper Bateman: The Slot Receiver

Yeah I would think Bateman could earn some playing time somewhere, if he wanted.

He's not THAT bad.

OU fans responding to his Tweet sure are reinforcing the stereotype. Wow, they loved him yesterday and now they're throwing him to the wolves.

We did the same thing with Moses, but then we moved on and got a better one. I can't believe the amount of fans scolding him about "commitment" and questioning if he knows what it means.

Phillips made a personal choice. He chose to be developed into an elite NFL linebacker.

He then committed to the best defensive coordinator in CFB. He saw opportunity to stand out whilst being part of an elite, world class defense. He could have stood out at OU too, as the lone playmaker on defense. But he chose a good defense over being a spotlight guy. That shows exemplary character.

To those now criticizing and bashing him...

Sorry but I had to share oh the irony
