The dude in the photo with Najee Harris working out is Jason Poeth. One of Coachran's assistants. He has his own work out place on the side. He gets athletes hurt by pushing too hard on lifts that shouldn't be done every single day. He's gotten multiple guys hurt in high school before they go off to college/pros. Just to name a few: Ivan Matchett, Destin Hood, Kerry Murphy.

Looks like Najee is doing cleans with his lower body day. Squats, power cleans, and circuits.

Highly doubt UGA is out of it for Solomon

They're going to push hard for him till the end. So they're certainly a threat, but reportedly he wants to go out of state. I'm starting to feel pretty optimistic about us getting him.

Najee's camp told so much bullshite, I don't know if he really needs surgery.
I know that sounds stupid, but I don't know what to believe

I hope Allen isn't going to LSU this weekend, they are having a huge recruiting weekend. I was hoping Saban could get him to shut down his recruitment this weekend.

I really want Allen to stick. He is probably my favorite recruit. Dude is going to be a beast.

LSU to host LB Chris Allen on official visit this weekend, cancels Alabama trip

LINK

quote:

LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda became the primary recruiter for Allen after the firing of Les Miles and Cam Cameron, who served as the area recruiter for Baton Rouge. Aranda is getting assistance from Orgeron and other LSU staff members like outside linebackers coach Dennis Johnson.

The message to Allen has not changed much--LSU needs him and the value of staying home should not be overlooked. Allen, who silently pledged to LSU earlier in the summer before backtracking, appears to be more receptive now than he was before.

LSU currently has one linebacker commitment in Livonia's Patrick Queen for the 2017 recruiting class, which is a huge area of need. While most of its targets are guys that would excel playing inside, Allen is capable of playing most of the linebacker positions in Aranda's 3-4 front

Yeah looks like Marlon will enter the draft. I'll be happy if he goes 1st round. But won't be shocked if he falls somewhere between 2-4

That article makes it sound as if it is cancelled. I am fairly certain it was rescheduled to next weekend instead of this weekend.

Also, it makes it seem like it was LSU's staff that convinced him to not go to Bama this weekend. That may be the case, but it may also be that Bama asked him to come next weekend, which is a much bigger recruiting weekend, and since he had this weekend open he decided to go to LSU.

It's also an article from nola.com. We all know how unbiased Louisiana news outlets are.

Yeah, the corndogs are beating their chests about his visit. He may flip but I think its hilarious that they have to come up with some glimmer of hope for LB, especially one in their back yard. On the other hand when Allen comes to his OV at Bama next week they will melt all over again just as they always do, so if nothing else we have some free entertainment.

Not great for recruiting. Not sure what it will look like for coaching.

Maybe Locksley gets promoted to an on-field coach position.

Edit: Per BOL, promotion coming, position TBD.

#Alabama won't see much impact from the Cristobal loss in the 2017 class, but the Tide's next move for his recruiting area is big.
