I was more referring to the outerwear he has on. It's popular, especially with teenagers.
Only real difference in the jersey is the Jumpman logo instead of the Nike check.
It's miniscule, but it's also the reason people wait for hours outside a shoe store instead of dropping 15 bucks on a pair of Avia...

I dunno man... something is wrong about having a basketball player performing a basketball maneuver on the front of a football uniform. Something about it I really dont care for.

I do not like taking JUCO DB's or OL.
I think our OL class is really good, but I think we were an Isaiah Wilson or Trey Smith away from it being epic like everyone seems to think.
As close as it was for both those elite OT's one has to wonder if we didn't have a JUCO OT in the class if one of them would have rolled with the Tide.
There is a lot riding on Baker being legit from day 1. Anything less would make the misses on Wilson and Smith even more painful.
I'd rather not take any JUCO ILB either. JMO

It's different, I grant you that. I don't see it much as a tradition thing, as I believe the Swoosh only replaced the Russell "R" about 20 years ago.
Nike has made a push to make the Jordan Brand and the "Jumpman" extend farther than basketball. Making it more of a general logo, especially with the Michigan deal.
The appeal was there, recruits went crazy over them. Not so much now, as it's already been done...

We should let Yeezy do our jerseys.
They'll look like stained white tshirts with holes in them and cost $650 a piece

It's Jordan...to some kids 16 - 18 yo generation it is the most popular brand BY FAR
It's not about the sport or his outline in the logo...he has created an amazing business brand

The irony is none of them saw Jordan play or really know how great he was. He's just some basketball legend to them.

It is really an interesting narrative about the brand because as a younger player, albeit good, but no one knew he was just another young phenom in the NBA and Nike took a chance and made a deal to build a brand
Now he has some LE versions of his tennis shoes worth 18K and 22K (highest I've seen is Eminem Limiteds for right over $22,000, that's shoes, the price of a car)
It was the first deal of its kind for an NBA player, and the popularity now is just strictly off build up and marketing that is now pretty much non-existent, everyone who is anyone popularity wise in any inner city buys J's because of years of similar behavior in their community.
It's fascinating to me

Tweeted to Najee's brother yesterday.
Looks like a rival started an account to make Alabama fans look bad.

What's fascinating to me is how LSU fans attack Dylan and Allen for being punks who want to follow instead of leading, due to them joining a team full of LBs....
.... yet they demand Marvin Wilson and Phi Mathis to come to LSU to make their already deep DL deeper.
Those guys aren't stupid to join LSU to be backups. Only Moses and Allen are.
It's the hypocrisy and the delusion with that fanbase that makes them a case study.

Army Bowl time, TV, Alabama and Auburn recruits to watch
quote:
Many of the nation's top prospects will play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Saturday in San Antonio at the Alamodome.
The game kicks off at noon CT and will be televised by NBC.
Several five-star recruits, including Graham, Wash., offensive tackle Foster Sarell and Clinton, Miss., running back Cam Akers headline the game.
But if you're watching the game looking for recruits connected to Alabama and Auburn, here is your list with links of AL.com coverage from the week...

Speaking of early enrollees and arriving on campus, here's where I think we stand:
On campus:
Isaiah Biggs
Alex Leatherwood
Kyriq McDonald
Chadarius Townsend (physical issues maybe?)
Waiting on:
Jerry Jeudy
Najee Harris
Tua Tagovailoa
Tyrell Shavers
Dylan Moses
Xavier McKinney (he says February; don't ask me how)
Elliott Baker
Daniel Wright
Brian Robinson
Major Tennison
Thomas Fletcher
Vandarius Cowan and Hunter Brannon both delayed their enrollments.

Chris Allen is taking his OV to Alabama next weekend. He may be in the process of scheduling an OV to Colorado, but it's not a certainty. Same thing regarding a possible OV to LSU.
Hopefully we lock him up next weekend and he shuts it down. I really want him n this class.

Mac Jones only has one OV scheduled and it's to Alabama on January 21st.

5-star linebacker Dylan Moses and 4-star receiver Tyrell Shavers are expected to arrive at Alabama today. 4-star tackle Elliot Baker, 4-star safety Daniel Wright, 3-star tight end Major Tennison and 2-star long snapper Thomas Fletcher are expected in on Sunday. BOL is still awaiting arrival times for 5-star receiver Jerry Jeudy and 4-star running back Brian Robinson. It wouldn't be a surprise to see both join the rest of the group on Sunday.
