So we finish with these players IMO:

LaBryan Ray
Henry Ruggs
Aubrey Solomon
Devonta Smith
Jarez Parks
Javon Kinlaw or Phidarian Mathis (leaning Kinlaw FWIW)

So if we finish with all those guys (with Kinlaw), and Byers doesn't qualify and Dean decommits we'll have 30 guys with a score of 323.16 on the 247 class calculator.

That would be just short of Florida's 2010 team which I think was the highest rated ever at 323.64

Jeff Thomas is lighting it up. Damn he is good.

And the kid loved him some Bama. So frustrating...

Lovie will ruin him

But Carlsons whole family are Bama fans. After seeing what Daniel the Cyborg did for Auburn, did we not even pursue his little bro?

I think Illinois can roll the dice with him and wait until the last possible moment to see if he qualifies. With our class size, we dont have that luxury.

Some will get a Bama bump to put us over that number.

I still think the kick 6 fricked up his head.

He sustained a permanent injury his senior year of high school. Every time he kicks it feels like someone is "stabbing him in the back with a knife". I'm just glad that he powers through it tbh.

Rumors where he was gonna not play this season but Saban encouraged him to come back so that we wouldn't be without a kicker.

That's exactly what it is...he won't make it in at U of Ill.....or I seriously doubt it

He will tear up some CC for a year or two and Bama will have their shot if he can get it together

If I were him I'd go to Louisville

Y'all megathread vets remember we flirted with Tyreek Hill several years ago. He had some issues and we definitely dodged a bullet but Jeff Thomas seems to be on a similar trajectory (off-field issues aside). Is he really expected to qualify at Illinois?

I'll never forger Hill saying Marquis Maze was his favorite player overall.

What. The. Hell.

He made up his mind early to follow his brother.

If not for his last name, how much criticism would Anders Carlson be getting for missing 10 out of 23 FG attempts this year?

Xavier McKinney didn't tell his parents, much less college coaches, he was picking #Bama today.

Dang. That's insane.

At least his mom didn't go all April Justin on television.

He says she loves Ansley so I'm sure she was happy.

Devon Hunter set up his final official visit to Alabama for January 27.

"Not to save the best for last but I heard the experience is crazy," Hunter said. "I'm still interested in the school even though they have a safety. I'm a competitor so I'll go in and do what I have to do."

He still says Virginia Tech leads for him.
