Xavier McKinney, a Scout 300 safety out of the Peach State, just re-committed to Alabama over tempting opportunities with Clemson and Ohio State.
Many anticipated Clemson getting the nod, but it's the Alabama Crimson Tide that comes out on top for the nation's 17th-ranked and Scout 300 prospect, Xavier McKinney, who also kept close tabs on Ohio State, the school he grew up rooting for.
McKinney, who was previously committed to Nick Saban's program before taking a step back in mid-July, announced his highly-anticipated college decision at Sunday's Under Armour All-America Game in Orlando, Florida.
Scout's Take:
McKinney makes plays on the ball. He has great ball skills, he tracks the ball well, and he really reads the eyes of the quarterback. Had 10 interceptions as a junior and returned two of those for touchdowns.
He plays with great awareness and anticipation in the secondary. Can jump routes, but likes to sit back and play the ball. Not elite speed, but it is good, and he has good range. Strong build and can come up and make solid tackles.

I agree 100%. Graduated from Alabama, then lived in Atl for 15 yrs. Work, church, every where they are an entitled bunch. I didn't even know where it came from. I live in LSU country now, and they are not nearly as bad, not even close.

So if we finish with all those guys (with Kinlaw), and Byers doesn't qualify and Dean decommits we'll have 30 guys with a score of 323.16 on the 247 class calculator.

We were supposedly happy about having Griffith. I think Griff was the top HS kicker when he signed. I still think the kick 6 fricked up his head.

Y'all megathread vets remember we flirted with Tyreek Hill several years ago. He had some issues and we definitely dodged a bullet but Jeff Thomas seems to be on a similar trajectory (off-field issues aside). Is he really expected to qualify at Illinois?
