Yea we need a few RBs this year. The kid from Oklahoma has talent, but he is really raw. He has a lot to learn

Plus I still see Bo Scar and Harris as two question marks. Bo Scar with his history of injury and Harris because he hasn't shown anything yet.

Just assuming that the #1 and #2 RBs in the country wouldn't sign with the same school. I'm sure we'll recruit him, though.

I know we feel good about Najee right now, but I'd already plan for his backup so we aren't left scrambling in January.

Meh. Every school is in the same boat these days. That's just recruiting in 2017. No commitments are safe for anybody these days outside of maybe a tiny select few die-hard in-state loyal fanboy recruits.

RB is a position I'm not gonna worry about, dozen of top 2017 prospects would love to be at Bama.

Akers uncle was quoted on another site as saying that Akers is a life long Alabama fan and would more than likely sign with us. TIFWIW.
