I hope we don't lose Harris to Michigan. frick Harbough and frick Michigan. Man I hope we play them this year.

Although Akers would be a pretty sweet consolation prize.

If we pull Mathis, Harris, Allen, and Smith along with Moses out of LA the melt will be hilarious.

The Latest: Prior to the start of his junior season, Trevor Lawrence, the nation's No. 1 overall player in the Class of 2018 took to Twitter to reveal his Final Two of Georgia and Clemson. Most expected that within a few weeks, Lawrence would also reveal his college decision. However, nearly three months later, Lawrence is taking a more measured approach to the recruiting process and appears to be listening to other schools. He was on campus for Clemson's victory over Louisville last month and is now set to visit three more SEC programs in the coming weeks. Here's a breakdown of Lawrence's upcoming visits and the potential impact.

Nov. 5 -- Alabama at LSU

Potential Impact: The Tigers already have a quarterback committed in the Class of 2018 and with the offensive coaching staff still in flux, this visit could be more for fun than for anything else. However, if LSU can pull the upset it will give interim head coach Ed Orgeron a good chance to take over the head coaching job full-time and the master recruiter can never be counted out.

Nov. 12 -- Auburn at Georgia

Potential Impact: This will be Georgia's chance to impress Lawrence and it could stand as one of the biggest visits in his entire recruitment. The Bulldogs have put all their chips in when it comes to Lawrence, having offered just one other quarterback in the 2018 class. With the way things are trending it looks as Georgia will be the underdog and pulling off an upset victory could go a long way toward showing Lawrence that Kirby Smart has the program headed in the right direction.

Nov. 26 -- Auburn at Alabama

Potential Impact: Despite Lawrence's announcement of a Final Two, Alabama didn't stop its pursuit and now that effort appears to be paying off in the form of a visit. He currently sits atop the Tide's board at the position and will be a priority of the Tide staff during his trip. With the way the schedule breaks, this will be Lawrence's second time watching the Tide play in a month so the school will have ample opportunity to impress him both on and off the field.

It seems A concern for Najee's family is job prospects after football. We do not have a great presence in the Bay Area. California schools seem to be a greater threat now for that reason.

Wasn't his mom planning on moving?

Either way, the rumors are getting old. Doesn't seem like a Bama type of kid anyway. You can find any excuse in the world if you search hard enough

Think they are sold on Alabama but also worried about the future.Family is pretty settled in Northern California.Legitimate concern, but probably should have been addressed at the beginning of his recruitment. Fingers crossed.

Hank South is holding a recruiting chat as we speak. I've asked about Najee's commitment already, but if anyone wants a specific question answered post it here and I'll ask on your behalf.

Thanks, Saint! I'm curious about how our DL class will shape up. Could you ask him where we stand with Marvin Wilson, Aubrey Solomon, and Ryan Johnson?

Grant to announce Friday

Walter Grant, one of Alabama’s outside linebacker targets in the Class of 2017, will announce his commitment after Cairo (Ga.) High School’s game this Friday night. He’ll choose from Alabama, Georgia and Florida State.

According to a source, the Tide do not expect him to choose them. Grant is likely Georgia-bound. That would be a fantastic addition for the Bulldogs because he is, in my opinion, one of the most underrated recruits in the country.

He is a low 4-star recruit and the nation’s No. 15 outside linebacker and the No. 24 prospect in the state of Georgia. How good is Grant? Nick Saban offered him almost immediately after seeing him drop back in coverage during a drill.

Alabama was Grant’s dream school growing up, but there are bigger targets on the board for the Tide at this time. Christopher Allen and Jarez Parks are the likely additions at JACK, which is the position Grant would play at Alabama.

“Coach Saban said the great thing about him is they think he can play outside and inside and also rush the passer,” Cairo coach Steve Devoursney told DawgNation. “They want to play him at both and make him more versatile which will obviously help him for the NFL.”

Georgia and Alabama have long been his top two, but the Bulldogs should win this battle on Friday.

He's picking Georgia.

Jeudy to visit Florida

Last time I spoke to 5-star Alabama wide receiver commit Jerry Jeudy he hadn’t planned on visiting other schools. That has changed.

“He will take an official visit there in December, I don’t know the weekend,” Deerfield Beach coach Jevon Glenn said. “He’s going to take one to Alabama, too, and he may visit Georgia but he’s only for sure visiting Florida and Alabama. He won’t do all five.”

Florida has continued its pursuit of Jeudy despite his commitment to Alabama. Gators wide receivers coach Kerry Dixon traveled to South Florida two weeks ago to check on Jeudy, and the staff’s communication with him has remained consistent.

The Gators made up considerable ground before Jeudy committed to Alabama this summer, but it’s going to be very hard to flip one of the top receivers in the country.

Jeudy has made it clear how he wants to reunite with his former teammate and good friend Calvin Ridley in college with the hopes of learning everything he can from one of the sport’s best receivers before he heads off to the NFL.

It’s always a bit concerning when commitments visit other schools, but I don’t think there’s anything to worry about when it comes to Jeudy’s commitment.

Conliffe still unsure of commitment date

Elijah Conliffe, a 4-star defensive tackle from Hampton, Va., still hasn’t set his commitment date.

Conliffe was on campus for Alabama’s game against Texas A&M, and he told SEC Country after that visit that the Tide were still his top team.

He was on commitment watch during that trip, but he is expected to announce his decision via commitment video. He told SEC Country on Tuesday night that his decision could possibly come this month, but he’s still waiting things out.

I expect Conliffe in Alabama’s class at this point.

Signing class projection coming later today

At 7 p.m. ET, my projection for who Alabama will sign in the Class of 2017 will drop on SEC Country. I expect Alabama to have a terrific class which will feature multiple 5-star prospects. Make sure you stop by later today or download the SEC Country app on your Apple or Android device.

I'm curious to see who he projects to us tonight.
