Though no decision has been publicly made, Shannon B. Terry (founder of Rivals.com and 247Sports.com) may have dropped a hint as to which quarterback will start for Alabama in its season opener against Southern Cal on Sep. 3 in AT&T Stadium.
Report: Alabama true frosh QB Jalen Hurts ‘has won coaches, team at this point’.

Please for the love of god let Hurts start, I root for everyone wearing crimson but Hurts has a higher ceiling and if he can do all this as a true freshman then he will get better later on in the year.

We got another CB for Shaun Wade. This one from a VT mod.

Aubrey Solomon decommitted from Michigan:

fricking Harbaugh is too busy holding satellite camps to remember the names of the kids he has committed.

Defensive tackle Aubrey Solomon (Leesburg, Ga./Lee County) sees relationships as an important part of the recruiting process. With that in mind, a recent snafu has caused the U.S. Army All-American to de-commit from Michigan.
"A day or two ago, they sent my mom a card thanking us for going to the Michigan bbq, but we never went," Solomon said. "I do not know which recruit they were talking to, but it was not me. It was just a little heartbreaking, for me to supposedly be so high on their list, for them to confuse me with someone else. Plus they spelled both of my names wrong after I told them, but that was not the main issue. I guess they do not have tabs on me."

So Harbaugh spends the night with these kids and then the next morning can't remember their names

We need a true DT in this class. He fits the bill.

started a thread on the main Bama page on this topic, but realized it probably could've just been a post here:
Really good series (8 episodes for a total of about an hour I'd guess). Shows a TON of progression from Tua throughout. One of the encouraging things is how well he takes criticism and coaching.
Kid has really great potential. IF JH2 starts, and plays well, we could in an ideal world have him from 3 years and then Tua take over as a RsSo and run it for 3 years, effectively taking the QB position at Bama from "Don't frick it up" to "Go out there and frick shite up".
Tua - Elite Eleven - watch all 8 episodes when you can - worth it

I just hope we hang on to him with Hurts potentially being our starter for the next 3-4 years.

Agreed, but you gotta think the staff explained to Tua and Jones that there was a good chance that a freshman could end up being the starter this season. Even though they probably expected it to be the RS Freshman, we are still talking about the potential starter possibly having 4 years of eligibility.
That was also probably one of the explanations as to why they are taking 2 QB's in this class anyway. It makes sense to take 2 at this point based on the camp reports. Heavy attrition is likely at this point...

If Hurts starts this year I say he is gone in 3 years. But as a competitor I would think Tua looks at it like Hurts wins the job this year that he only has Hurts to chase for the job. I think it also shows that a true freshman can see the field where we know other schools will tell Tua he will just sit the bench at UA.

Tua's bump on Rivals today has earned him a 5th star in the Composite rankings.
Should I make a thread for this on SEC Recruiting?

That's the latest I've heard.
