Agreed.

I'm not liking where this is headed.

Najee Harris is going to be a frequently talked about subject until he officially signs his papers to enroll at Alabama.

The 5-star Crimson Tide running back commit is coming off a weekend trip to Michigan where he brought along his mother. That’s a big deal because she usually doesn’t go with him when he makes recruiting trips, and she’s a big part in his recruitment.

But should Alabama fans worry about him flipping to another school? That’s the biggest topic discussed in this week’s Facebook Live video.

Here are the other topics that were discussed in the video below:

-Who is going to be the next recruit to commit to Alabama?

-Which receivers will Alabama sign in the Class of 2017?

-What’s the latest on a 4-star linebacker from Baton Rouge who is a top target for Alabama?

-Is Alabama out of the mix for 5-star defensive tackle Marvin Wilson?

-After 5-star safety JaCoby Stevens committed to LSU, who are Alabama’s top targets in the defensive backfield?

According to someone in Lexington close to UK's program (Bama fan, but works in UK AD), Wills should commit to Bama next week.

As of now, I'd say our most likely safety signee is Stevens.

Yes. Jacoby. But as we should all be able to figure out about him by now, there's no point in projecting him anywhere. It's a circus.

Gary Johnson says he is going to take all of his OVs and knows for sure that Missouri and Ohio State are getting one.

Does anyone remember our former TE commit Josh McNeil? He was supposed to be a part of the "Twin Towers" with OJ Howard back in the Class of 2013.

I wondered what happened to him because his recruitment was a fricking circus. After a stint at a MS JUCO he ended up at Akron where he will be a Senior this season.

He played in 6 games last year and caught 7 passes for 37 yards with 1 touchdown.

Just thought I'd share.

Yeah IIRC he got screwed over in HS due to an AAU bball coach. He was going to a private school and they allowed him to play varsity in the 8th grade that started his eligibility. He then transferred to a HS in Durham where he could not play his senior year and also was missing core classes he was not told to take at the private school.

IIRC he said he did but they did not take his commitment. He was a weird situation. Because he lost playing eligibility he could not play in 2012 he graduated in the summer of 2012 IIRC and wanted to be an EE at UA but was not able to and tried to commit to LSU but they would not take him either. I believe he tried to play at a private prep school that fall.

Probably shows more about me than him, but I was much more impressed the second time I watched his film than the first time.

Also think his team may run a lot more of a read defense than a penetration scheme which makes it much tougher for a D lineman to put out a super sexy highlight tape (you are waiting and reacting as oppossed to exploding off the snap).

He's definitely big and athletic which is hard to find. Don't know about his functional strength/toughness, but perhaps they got a better picture of this at a camp.

The biggest story surrounding Alabama football recently has been what the team is going to do with defensive back Maurice Smith.

Smith, a recent graduate, requested a transfer from Alabama to Georgia. The Crimson Tide granted his wishes, though they didn’t need to, on Wednesday. It’s now in the hands of the SEC. Even though Smith has been granted a release from Alabama, the SEC needs to approve of him going to another school in the conference.

Nick Saban was firm in his stance of not allowing Smith to transfer to another school in the conference citing SEC policy.

“We have done everything that we can do institutionally to allow the conference to make the decision about whatever they decide is in the best interest of the conference and the SEC rules relative to Maurice Smith,” Saban said. “So that is past us now. It is beyond us. We don’t really need to talk about that anymore and I don’t have any other comments to make about it. We’re trying to focus on the guys we have here and what we need to do to help those guys have a chance to be successful.”

Several Alabama commitments were asked for their thoughts on the Smith saga. Here is what they told SEC Country:
