OSU insiders feel a bit better on the Shaun Wade front after his last couple of visits. Obviously you never feel comfortable with any of these kids til the ink dries.

Wade has an interview from last week at the 7 on 7 championships where an OSU insider asks who his number 2 is and he said he doesn't have a clear #2 right now. OSU fans took that as a good sign for obvious reasons but there seems to be a quiet confidence on the Bama front

If anything were to happen on the Shaun Wade front, it wouldn't be anytime soon.

Looks like Bama has been elevated to 1B.

From Travis Reier:

quote:

** On Tuesday, I caught up with Mendocino College coach Frank Espy on my radio show Southern Fried Sports (11 AM-Noon, Tide991.com). The conversation, of course, centered on Jamar King, a 2016 defensive end signee who is working to achieve eligibility at Alabama for the upcoming season.

According to Espy, King, a 26-year-old, former plant worker who made his way to Mendocino from the state of Michigan, is on track to finish up in time for the start of fall camp.

"Jamar's taken over 20 units each of the last two semesters, the fall and the spring, to give himself a chance to get to a school like Alabama" Espy said. "It's not like he's failed or anything, it's more or less a GPA issue. He's retaken some classes to get a higher GPA so he can be there in the fall."

"He's done a lot of academic work. He's a good student, he really is. He's just got a couple of courses he's retaken."

"He'll be there in time for fall camp."

Watching him on tape, King brings to mind Wallace Gilberry, another Saban era end who was relentless in his pursuit of the football.

"It jumps out to me again and again, just watching that guy get around the field," Espy said. "He's all go, 100 percent from whistle to whistle. If the ball goes away from him he's going to try and chase it down. He believes he can make every play on the field and he's going to try and do so."

"If he can't do anything else, Jamar King will run to the football."

Could someone please enlighten me why folks are so confident that M.Wilson signs with Bama ? I guess we better hope so since there isnt much on the board after that eh ?

And who is going to be the edge/speed rusher in this class ? With DL being such a priority the big board sure doesnt seem like its full of great options after the in-state fellas.

Hopefully like always recruit X will come out of nowhere sometime around next signing day.

TIA

Think the effort of several of the committed kids have helped bring us back into the race. Really think it's a "wait and see" approach that he takes to see how New DL coach does and the relationship he can build with him over the next several months. It's not how they feel today, it's all about how they feel on NSD

Two people CB'd Nico Collins to Michigan yesterday.

I guess we are all in on Shavers, Jeudy, Ruggs and Smith at the WR position for this class.

Can anyone image the shitstorm if Harbaugh signs the number one player in Alabama. We would never hear the end of it.

I honestly don't think harbaugh is targeting the state of Alabama for anymore than an attempt at a statement.

I'm sure Michigan fans would parade it as a monumental victory of some sorts. And while I'd rather have the in-state WR, there are plenty of talented ones out-of-state on the radar.

If this is the case, I pray they make the playoffs and we Michigan St. them. Would be glorious.

Michigan fans are back to becoming their insufferable selves. They are absolutely certain that because Harbaugh beat Carroll with Stanford talent, it is just a matter of time before he is beating Meyer all the time. Every 3* they sign you see comments like "Harbaugh made Gerhart into a great player, so he for sure will do it again"

I respect Harbaugh and believe he is a great coach. He will for sure get his share of wins if he stays around.

If they get Nico, they will say they beat Bama out for it for sure
