I know that this is the 2016 thread, but I read an article about Lex Morgan, the kid that sparked a recruiting investigation at Muscle Shoals from AHSAA a couple of weeks ago. I'm a little out of the loop being out here in Kansas. I just noticed that the kid is transferring from the high school that I graduated from and I have some childhood ties to the coach that supposedly recruited him.

Is Bama recruiting him? They had him listed at 6'5" 300 lb DL in the article. I'm not on top of recruiting as much as most of the people ITT. Just curious to know if Bama was looking at him or not.

There seems to be a lot of drama coming out of MSHS the past few years.

From a guy this morning that is close friends with a bunch of Ole Miss boosters who talk openly about who they're going to get (with astonishing accuracy in the past). He posts on TI. He basically said that OM is not at all confident on AJ Brown. Miss. State is using the "DK Metcalf is their legacy and chosen one at WR this year" line to him. Their feeling is that AJ and his dad both want Bama. While weird things happen at the last recruiting weekends in Oxford, they think he'll be tough to get from Bama. This guy KNOWS what he's talking about in MS recruiting circles. Let's hope he turns out right on this. I know we're still concerned about him visiting them.

Stampini set his confidence level of 60% that Wilson goes to Bama explaining that Alabama doesn't lose a lot when it comes to top in state prospects.

Top safety Nigel Warrior ending week with official visits to Auburn, Alabama
quote:

Auburn will get a chance to jump back in the mix for elite safety Nigel Warrior when he takes his official visit to The Plains beginning today.

Warrior's mother Tangie confirmed to AL.com that he will officially visit Auburn Thursday and Friday before heading to Alabama for his weekend official visit.

Warrior, a four-star recruit from Peachtree Ridge High School in Suwanee, Ga., is ranked as the No. 4 overall safety and No. 58 overall recruit in the 247Sports composite rankings.

He has already officially visited LSU and Ohio State and will visit Tennessee next weekend.

In San Antonio at the Army All-American Bowl, he told AL.com that Tennessee, Alabama, LSU and Georgia were the four main schools he was focusing on. Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn did an in-home visit with Warrior along with assistants Travis Williams, Wesley McGriff and Kevin Steele, per Warrior's 247Sports profile page.

Warrior had said Auburn wasn't in the running in early January, but that was during a dead period. Now that the new assistant coaches have reestablished communication, the Tigers have a shot. He was close with former Alabama defensive backs coach Mel Tucker, but Tucker has since left to become the defensive coordinator at Georgia.

Georgia won't get an official visit from Warrior, though, but the school is roughly an hour away from where he lives.

From ellitor on the Aub recruiting thread

quote:

AU is a real threat w 4* S/DB Nigel Warrior. Enough to catch likely leader UTk is TBD but we are definitely in it. Likely get a mid week OV next week. The big factor for NW is playing time & AU is selling that we need him here to play immediately, He is definitely listening.

It is a prediction. When a sports writer or recruiting analyst predicts a recruit to choose a specific school, the writer marks his prediction with a crystal ball (i.e. seeing into the future)

I think we need to change the title on this thread to: "NSD is going to be painful for anyone who doesn't want to see Alabama."
