Isn't CVO supposed to be pretty raw? That's a concern for me since I'm not convinced Cristobal is the developer that Pendry or Stoutland were.

We should get pay a Co-OL coach. Cristobal recruits and helps coach, the other guy coaches and helps recruit.
I'm a genass. :jump2:

I think he has been playing football for only a year or two.

I think Stoutland is a tad overrated by our fans. He was given the Mercedes and he did well with it. He then left Cristobal with a broken down Pinto.

Pendry, yes. Stoutland not so much. MC is a pretty good dude and ace recruiter.

Yeah, its hard to overstate the talent dropoff from jones, warmack, fluker, steen to leon brown, kelly, and sheppard (i leave off cam rob and arie k because they were both great this year)
Posted on 1/5/15 at 3:57 pm to narddogg81
The fact that arie k. went from unwatchable in 2013 to being a stud for us speaks to Cristobal's development. Unfortunately not much could be done with Leon Brown and Austin Shepherd.

I usually agree with you but in this case, it was more like an AMC Pacer/Gremlin than a Pinto.

Still think he did well with Shepherd, taking a guy who was a package deal with Juwan James at the time into a 2 year starter who allowed just 2-3 sacks in 2 seasons(said to be 2 in 26 games, likely leaving out this Sugar Bowl).
Pass blocking has gotten better under Cristobal...

Yeah, I was probably being a little harsh with Shep. Just pissed at the way he played in the Sugar Bowl. I'll get over my butthurt soon enough
.

No way. Chris Capps is a level of suck that will never be touched.

Grant Hill is the answer. Or Drew Richmond and move grant to RG

Ryan Davis has had a few CBs to Auburn. I know we were thinking about him possibly coming here when we were in the picture with Cowart. If Davis lands at Auburn, Cowart probably follows him there as well. JMO.

If Dallas can be half the player his brother was, we're in for a real treat.

*** 5-star running back Damien Harris from Berea, Ky., announces his commitment on Friday at 12:15 p.m. CT and it's likely down to Alabama and home state Kentucky. Harris is great friends with many Alabama commitments, including quarterback Blake Barnett.

*** With just one receiver committed in Calvin Ridley, the Crimson Tide coaches hope to add more. Longtime commit Daylon Charlot from Patterson, La., is back on the market, but still a high priority for Alabama. Georgia 5-star commit Terry Godwin and Arkansas 4-star commit K.J. Hill will also officially visit Alabama in January and recent Miami commit Lawrence Cager could as well.
