I know they like Marlon Davidson and Ben Davis more instate, but it's not like Mack Wilson is some schmo. Unless they have their eyes on a bigger ILB target?

I agree with post earlier about Davis being an OLB, I think he'll end up around 265 rushing the passer and setting the edge. Though could be the next Hightower too.

You likely need Wilson to get Davidson though, so it's odd.

Speaking of Hightower damn I love watching that 2011 defense. Chapman and Williams (and Square and others) ate up the blocks, Upshaw set the edge, and if you managed to find even a little crease, you've got a damn 270lb ILB waiting for you.

Tim Watts is saying that there is some talk around Memphis of Richmond flipping to Bama on NSD.

Watts expects Taylor to be cleared this week. Things are looking good for him to be in this class. Still not sure what I think about that.

Gonna be a big contributor for Bama if/when he makes it in

I don't know how the numbers will work but if Richmond, Chidi, Harris and Charlot want in this class we need to jettison a few.

Johnathan Taylor too.

Is Chidi worth the risk? Grades may prevent him from enrolling.

Richmond, Chidi,
imagine it would be either or. would rather have the chidi kid honestly, with womack as the mauling RT. whats his face seems to be a physical freak of nature, protoypical LT material, but tstill rough. its odd with cam rob only going to be a sophomore, but we really need to line up our next elite LT talent this year, let him redshirt a year, then play a year as cams backup, then step into the LT spot with 3 years eligibility. cant depend on getting sec-ready LTs like cam whenever we need them

I know our staff is the best at recruiting, but it does seem like we piss around at first on guys that end up becoming major targets later. We allowed UK to get a comfortable lead on Damien Harris before we decided to go balls to the wall oh him. We wouldn't allow our best oline commit for 2015 to commit in the fall of 2013. Thankfully he didn't want to go anywhere else.

Just something I have observed...

I think so. A greyshirt for a kid like Josh McMillon might not be such a bad idea. He had a major injury his senior year and it would give him some time to heal up before practicing. Then if Chidi doesn't make it in we give his scholarship to McMillon.

Ok numbers...

Class has 25 + Bo as a backcounter

2 more spots available without any losses

I could see Bama finishing with Richmond (oh plz oh plz oh plz) and Harris as the final 2

J Taylor could be offered a spot if Moton flips Im assuming or maybe he can backcounter I dunno

The Chidi situation seems bleak...may be a sign & place or send him to EMCC

Ok gotcha that's what I figured

So with Taylor as a bc (and Bo just not adding him in since he is already on campus etc) there are gonna be 28 commits

We have 2 spots left...pretty confident on Damien Harris as of right now (more confident even than I was a week ago )

That leaves a spot for the LT and if Moton flips a spot opens up for possibly Chidi to be added
