The twitter handle trendsetters that waller seems to be helping promote follows a notre dam recruiting site. Most all the tweets that account has posted were regarding waller. the part that will throw you off is it also follows Charles power and David sills.

That's pretty much what I look like with my shirt off.

I'm not cut, but that is exactly what I wear as my swimsuit.

It's still not guaranteed that we will land Waller nor is it guaranteed that his commitment will scare off Eason.

Eason may not care who we take this year. We won't know until we get a commitment.

Charles Power says that Waller doesn't have a ND visit set up, but a tweet from some guy I've never seen said he will visit South Bend on the 23rd.

So basically no one knows shite. As always.

I rewatched Dormady's film tonight and dude sucks (and appears to be a cancer in the locker room). Regardless of what Saint wanted, I think we really dodged a bullet here.

So if Waller goes elsewhere, what do yall think is the most likely scenario? Do we still try and pick up a QB this year, or do we use that spot on some other position (putting all our eggs in the Eason basket)?

The extra depth at QB would be nice, but if we are expecting Eason in 2016, would it even matter? I would doubt whoever else is in the 2015 class would see playing time behind Cornwell, Coker (if he pans out/stays) or Eason.

If we can't get Waller and just need someone as an arm I would prefer we just take a preferred walk-on this year (probably just whoever is the fricking senior QB at St. Paul's).

That's why I like to say, recruiting is fickle and fluid.

I'm really trying not to get too hyped up about Waller, but I would love to see what a solid dual-threat QB could do at bama under Kiffin. Not entirely sure how he would fit into a pro-style offense, but as long as he is "pass first" I suppose he'd do just fine.

If we don't get Waller then I think we land David Sills. Watch his highlights. He has perfect mechanics. Immaculate.

He's a more athletic GMac.

I know some people have an issue with his father (long story) but he committed to Kiffin 4 years ago at USC so the familiarity is there.

I like him. His arm is very suspect but so was McElroy's. We did just fine in 2009 without a "playmaker" under Center.

Landing Sills would also keep us in the Eason sweepstakes. He wouldn't look at Sills as a hurdle most likely.

Call me crazy. I don't care.

But after watching his Junior highlights again I think I want David Sills as our QB for the 2015 class. Over Waller.

I know I'll be in the minority. The recruiting services certainly think Waller is the better player.

There's just something about Sills that I can't get over. Yes his arm strength is questionable. Yes his father is an a-hole. But he is really, really good.

I think his commitment in the 7th grade is driving his low ranking.

He has a great frame. He's athletic.

Call me stupid. Call me a retard. I think he'd be more successful in our offense than Waller.

Waller is obviously in my Top 5 but I may just be star gazing. It's Sills for me. I may not know what the frick I'm talking about, but I like to think I do.

I'll take Waller, but I think Sills is being tremendously overlooked.

Just watched David Sills' film. I love his awareness and ability to make defenders miss in the pocket, but his arm strength worries me a bit. I would hate to lose the deep threat with all the talent we're going to have at WR (although I guess he'd get more mileage out of the TEs lol).

My fear with Waller is that we miss/pass on him and he goes somewhere like OSU and tears it up (I also kind of wanted Dormady just to keep him from the vols haha).

Do you still have confidence that Cornwell will be able to develop into a stud after we redshirt him this season? I know we have almost nothing to go on, but his brief showing in the spring game left much to be desired. I guess I'm just a little nervous after losing AJ since it seems like we've whiffed on the last few QBs.

I never liked Dormady or Waller. Im not crazy about Sills, but Id take him over anyone else that has shown interest.

I still hope Waller goes to ND, Sills stays committed to USC and we get Eason in 2016. Id much rather this spot go to a high 4* or 5* we have not been expecting to be in this class, but has been a target.

It doesnt matter what I want though, and I think Sills ends up earning an offer and we get him. Should make for some good melt from the Kiffin haters.

You guys are tripping. Let's not be those guys who automatically say we don't like some prospects more because they choose not to go our school and like a lesser one more because they did.

That's some rocky top behavior.

In no way shape or form is Sills anything near Waller. Especially considering his good film is from his sophomore year and he had a bad junior season. Sills doesn't even have the arm, so he couldn't beat out Dormady.

From the beginning I had a "no Town/Stidham, no thannks" outlook, especially considering it would help us with Eason. However if Waller is really balling out in these camps (from the proof he has beaten Rosen, the best QB in like two of them), then I feel he should be priority. If Blake Barnett (sp?) shows interest then we look at him too.

If we can't get either, we should just wait for next season.
