Our defense usually made great adjustments during halftime, and the play calling was good.

Whatever you say, Pete.

I would believe that. What I mean is that being a Golding apologist ain't easy. Neither is watching your team get walked down the field for 4 quarters in the games that matter most.

So you really ain't got shite, so now your just left with making things up about Saban.

What's worse is watching the most talented QB of recent memory fail to do shite with the ball for 4 quarters, having to get bailed out by the team around him.

Luckily Devonta Smith is fast as frick and got behind the defense twice for easy TD passes and Najee Harris, the most disrespected back by the fanbase, was able to get things going late in the 3rd quarter, or it would have been yet another blowout loss, like 44-16.

It's not my fault you can't realize the defense came out in the 2nd half against LSU and held them scoreless for the entire 3rd quarter, including getting a turnover.

Meanwhile the offense failed to capitalize on any of it.

Turns out, when you are starting a bunch of freshman, you also lack depth on top of everything else and players get tired.

Watching that 2nd and 26 replays for the natty has got to really tick you off. As it should every self-respecting Alabama fan.

Meanwhile, back to Golding.

I'm talking about the LSU game. 2 of Tua's TD passes came as a result of Devonta Smith getting behind the defense.

Did you even watch the game?

I wish someone would make a compilation of the slightly different variations of this general argument that have been volleyed back and forth over the last 3 months.

Would probably rival War and Peace.

Pete Golding did a hell of a job this year all things considered and it sucks that the fan base is too ignorant to recognize that

It's always good to know what you are specifically talking about these days. You do seem to travel the length and width of the topic horizons in your own immanent fashion.

My conclusion would have to be that Golding's work stands or falls on its own merits. Compared to all the other Alabama defenses of the Nick Saban era, and that's the way it works in Tuscaloosa, Golding is being "weighed on the scales." And based on what is on video since Jeremy Pruitt's big exit, Golding has been "found wanting."

Source tells FootballScoop after fielding a number of offers from various SEC programs, Charlie Strong appears to have selected Alabama as his next stop. We hear an agreement could be in place soon. Stay tuned…

So Joe Burrow > Tua in your opinion. I think Tua is more talented, but Burrow didn't choke in every big game like Tua did.

That’s not my point. My point is QB is the most important position.

If we had a QB that didn't fumble the ball without being touched or throw the most retarded interception I've ever seen in my entire life - we also still win.

Also not my main point. My main point is Tua being hurt changed things for the worse. Not the rest of the offenses fault that happened. Again not saying the losses on offenses and defenses are equal but the offense had an excuse.

as previously noted, an injury will impact even a qb's mental game, but a healthy and mobile Tua would have scored easily on that play.

The funny thing is when Alabama lost to Clemson years ago, it was blamed on Jalen rather than the defense.

Because Jalen didn't help the defense out enough, and Jalen even put the team in the lead on his last position.

Tua goes out and gives the other team points, yet it's all blamed on the defense.

Tell you what, name the good defense Tua played he didn't choke at.

I'll start: 2nd half of the NCG vs Georgia.

Your turn.

Right, because he needs the fanbase to keep his job. Looks like the only person that matters in the decision is happy with his performance.

But sure, lets go with the theory that Saban is keeping a "lazy goofball" DC who can't coach a position and sucks at his job.

Back in the day, when the circus came to town, there was always this guy with a huge scoop shovel walking behind the parade of Pachyderms down the main street. I fear Charlie is going to be doing some serious shoveling this season.
