I think this does it for me. The unequal rules across the board has killed my enthusiasm. This is what will drive Oats to the NBA if given the chance.

It really sucks that I have to watch Noah Williamson play meaningful minutes.

Damn, I kinda thought it would go this way but we had a really good argument IMO. Now let’s see all these other local judges that granted TROs get scrutinized like ours did.

I bet their attorney is going to try to escalate this right?

Agreed.
I think the first opportunity and he’s gone and honestly, I wouldn’t blame him.
Byrne better get his list updated.

Judging by last week’s nonsense I’m guessing Byrne will ask permission from Sankey to get a list together and if we are even allowed to play basketball anymore.

What opposing fans think: their schools are honest and Alabama is always bending the rules

Reality: Alabama is a naive program trying to play the system as honestly as possible and everyone else just finds a judge who won’t play along with the NCAA and slow rolls the case with a TRO long enough for their grown arse man or pro player to make it through the season.

One of the top teams in the conference has their best player, a 25-year-old, playing on a TRO and not a soul has made a peep about it.

What is the status of the Nigerian freshman? Is he hurt or just not good?

What exactly was the basis for denial? Considering there are quite a few Euro pros and G League guys playing college ball now

Does anyone have a reason why he didn't try and come back at the start of the season? It might not have been as big of a media story then, November and when football is still going on.

Oats probably didn’t realize at the time how unplayable Williamson would be.

I don’t think it was something we were considering until 20 other colleges pulled this shite. It’s not something Oats wanted to do or ever considered until everyone else got free rein.

But of course we got saddled with a shite head judge who probably prays to wake up and it be 1950 again

I should’ve added to my post that I doubt it was on anyone’s radar until Baylor’s guy got cleared along with 4 years of eligibility.

He and the A&M dude should have been plenty of ammo for a decent attorney to get this to stick for the season. That local judge recusing himself and Sankey coming out publicly all but sealed it. Local judge should have put his nuts on the table.
